I have a C7000 Blade enclosure with 12 blades in it. None of these blades are used yet.
Somebody in their wisdom has set all the ILO's to use ip addresses of 0.0.0.0 so the enclosure can't connect to them when using onboard administrator
I need to get connectivity back to these ILOs...
Although it is not as slow as on the DC.
On the DC if I leave it long enough it does come back with the list of users, but takes a loooong time.

In AD users and computers, if we click on Mailbox Access rights on the properties of a user, ADUC hangs indefinately.
Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening? Where can I start looking?

We have a large number of users on our systems, and they use roaming profiles.
I am ok with permissions on the roaming profile share and profile folders. What I am not sure about is what level of permisions are reccomended for the server the user is logging on to.

I have a bit of a problem with AD
We have around 5000 user accounts, and we have Exchange on the network.
abotu half of all of our accounts were migrated from an old domain to the current domain and the old domain no longer exists.
Now we are having some issue, mostly with old deleted...

it works as expected, I can see the shares no worries.

If you have installed Terminal services then you need to set up a license server and buy some license.
If you remove Terminal Services, you have one remote connection to the Console and 2 RDP connections, no licenses required.

The proxy server is on the same domain as the source server. And the traffic shouldnt be going through the proxy, it has a direct link to the remote domain.
I have run a packet sniffer on the server when I click the button, and the http request goes straight from the server to the ISA server...

I have a web application that runs on one of my servers.
The application starts ok, then when i click a button whcih retrieves info from another server on different domain, i get a proxy error. (ISA Server denied the URL)
The weird thing is there is no proxy server set up on this server...
Is your bosses laptop pointing to a DNS server?
from your bosses laptop run the following from the command prompt.
ipconfig /flushdns
Also check the event logs on the bosses laptop.

can you ping your server by name from one of the desktops?
If not check that your desktops are configured to use the correct DNS server. Then check your DNS server and make sure there is a HOST record in there.
