Hello,

I attempting to setup Windows Terminal Server to be used with 1 connection only. I was under the assumption that you get 1 free console and 1 free regular connection with a server license.

When I connect now I get the error 'Cannot Find Windows 2003 Licensing server .....'

This is kind of a vague question, but does anyone know if I am correct, and if so, how can I stop this message from coming up?

Thanks!
Barry

If you have installed Terminal services then you need to set up a license server and buy some license.

If you remove Terminal Services, you have one remote connection to the Console and 2 RDP connections, no licenses required.

Thanks Grabrail!

That's what I needed, uninstall terminal services!

Although... seems kind of weird, uninstall terminal services, to use terminal services :)

Have a great day
Barry

I think what he's referring to is that when you install terminal services, you have an option of choosing the service for administration or for application mode. With administration mode, you get a console and two remote sessions by default. In application mode is where you need to buy terminal service licenses.
