Thank you so much for confirmation that ATA can be used. I looked at Ebay for Teltone and it is bit expensive for my needs. So I will go with a 2 port ATA to test.
Appreciate again your help.
Perfect. Yes there will be multiple 16 channel FXS cards in the chassis. Essentially when they will not allow international dialing (and also to call out, there will be something like 9), then you are correct that as soon a first 0 is detected, it can be terminated and dial the frontdesk ring...
Thanks again for your very prompt support on this. You are correct that we can add # after the 0, but here we are talking about creating speed dial for analog phone on hotel project. In that case, should we simply have analog phones program the button for 0#?
Hello All,
For programming and testing UCX in lab with an analog FXO card in it, can we use a 2 or 4 port ATA with FXS ports on it? Essentially any cost effective method to simulate a PSTN environment is what I am looking for. Thanks so much in advance.
Hello all, I am new to EMetroTel / Asterisk. A Hotel customer asked for frontdesk extension to be programmed as zero (0) for room analog phones to push to get to, in addition to a speed dial for it. I know here in US / Canada we can have a leading zero, and I have noted many times in hotels that...
Hello All,
Could you please advise me on my requirements? I do need to set up server in next few days and want to make sure I know what I am doing.
Much appreciate.
Hello Folks,
On the add users wizard in the SBS 2008 console, when we add first / last name, it automatically populates the format for username with few options available via pull down menu and none of them have a dot in between first initial and last name.
However, email address field seems...
Hi All,
I am new to servers and am a network engineer. I need to move one of our small office, running 8 peer to peer PCs to a domain and we decided to buy SBS.
I have few questions and will greatly appreciate if I can be provided guidance.
1. Existing users have email from external hosted...
Hello Guys,
I am new to Nortel switches. I have a stack of 5510 that I need to download existing running config to a tftp server via JDM, so that I can then make changes to the unknown password statement (only snmp RW community string is known and not the password) in the downloaded text file...
Excellent responsse biv343. Someone had told me that there is a way to freeze channels from WMS, but I can not figure out. Anyway, as suggested by you, I can copy from show config set ap commands and make minir changes to insert channel numbers and paste back.
Appreciate all your help and God...
Thanks biv343. Seems like my question was not clear. I already have the working system with channels set up via auto tuning. Now everything is working and stable, I simply want the auto assigned channels to all the APs to become fixed. So what will be the single or couple of commands to have all...
I have a WSS2382 set up for auto RF channel to support VOIP phones. How can I lock the auto channels into fixed channels on all the APs simultaneously in the configuration thru command line interface or thru WMS management station?
Thanks
After further reading, I was able to achieve this by setting port group (port aggregation, same as MLT) on Wireless switch and SMLT on the the two different 5520s.
Appreciate your help and support.
While this is clear to me that MLT on Nortel is actually 802.3ad port aggregation called etherchannel on cisco or port group on trapeze / Nortel WSS, I am just confused and do not know how can I connect a port group of two ports on WSS to two different 5500...
Hi,
I need to set up two (redundant) 2382 wireless switches to connect each port of it to a different 5520 switch. Can someone please explain and provide required command set / example as to what needs to configured on two wired switches and also what needs to be configured on WSS 2382? WSS has...
Hi All,
I am trying to set up a simple network of few Cisco 1131 APs and WLC 4402. I have set up a IAS radius server on the domain controller. On the WLC / APs, I have three SSIDs, One for Guest with Web Login having local user/password set up on WLC itself, no encryption in this case, second...
