One of my users can not connect to one of our databases.
She's running XPsp3 connecting to SQL2000.
On the front-end, she uses a construction program. After username/password, she selects the DB to connect to and go. As of recently, she can still see all databases, yet no matter which one is...
Outlook 2007, WinXP Desktops, Exchange 2003sp2
I'm trying to figure out how to first archive an ex-employee's Outlook to a .pst file, burn to disk, then (if need be) be able to import some or all of those archived email to a current employees mailbox.
The ex-employee's mailbox is still on the...
Hello Marvin,
Yes, each client has the latest build. It's the strangest thing. With more testing I discovered if I move an appointment's duration by an hour or so, it will display correct on mouse-over. Yet, if I move it back to it's original duration, and same issue . . . shy by 1 minute on...
Update -
I've confirmed this now with more users - it really doesn't matter what the duration is - it will be off by one minute (when you mouse over the appt time). I did confirm this is not a problem when accessing our mail via WebAccess - on mouse over, all show correct.
Appreciate any...
Hi everyone. We are running GW 7 - sp1
Opening the calendar view (month/calendar view as default) all appointments are visible. Once we mouse over an appointment it shows the duration 1 minute short of the original duration. All 1 hour meetings show as 59 minutes (2pm - 2:59pm) all 1:15...
chvchk -
For the training protocol, I put together a very detailed yet easy to follow outline. More specifically, I used a ton a layman's terms and examples (not too mention a ton of screen prints). I touched on a little bit of everything - from hoaxes & social engineering tricks to SPAM and...
Hi chvchk -
One of the most challenging tasks . . . obtaining upper management support! One of the best places to start for new policy review is the SANS Institute. They have some great templates for your review and perhaps you would be able to present these as building blocks to your...
Hi nanceoiage -
There are quite a few PHP hacks w/submit functions & features. If you search Google for PHP vulnerabilities you'll find quite a few. (for example, the double-submit hack >> Here <<
Sorry not an answer for ya, but may point you in the right direction.
Good Luck.
That is interesting.
Now that I think about it, @ our office when you start typing someone's name it will autofill (Melanie Joshis) However, if you then mouse over her name it will display her Novell info, where her email will show as Joshis@DetroitBN (and not her GW alias). That said, I think...
Hi Marvin. Yes, we are using GWIA aliases
(for example Melanie Joshis logs into our network as:
Network: joshis
GW Alias: mjoshis
I forgot about aliases. Is that where the issue stems from?
Please help me understand this.
I'm Running GW 7.0 (also WebAccess7)
Periodically, our internal users name/email address changes slightly. One day it will appear in quotes, next day it doesn't. Once in a while it appears with their WebAccess path.
I thought I understood how this works - but...
You should stop/start your DHCP server for the new settings to take place. On workstations, if they just received their DHCP address (and depending on their lease time) you may have to release/reset each of those. Printers too.
As far as ports go, it kinda depends on everything your running...
BehnoodM - you're off to a good start. A+ is a great cert to get.
For a job, I suggest you go to a local college or university and glance at their career center postings. Most all will have a detailed list of employers looking for interns/entry level positions. These type jobs typically...
Hi Xaqte - Anything you setup in your rules/ACLs can be forwarded straight through. Just remember SSH/port 22 is typically blocked by default. You could even reassign a port # if you wanted -- perhaps someone with more experience can chime in on this one.
Your main config looks and sounds...
Hi -
It depends on which forum software you're using. Most forum suites have different levels of security/bans to accomplish what you're looking to do.
For example, I'm an admin for a forum (using Invision Power Board 2.0.3) where you must register before you can enter/see any topics, posts...
Before a rebuild, I would suggest a couple things first:
(assuming you've checked the easy things - all wires connected to correct input/output, volume not set to mute)
From last known good configuration
Go to the device manager --> sound, video, game controllers
See if there is anything with...
Hi again Bob - I'm sorry, when I seen 20 users I assumed 20 PCs. In answer to your questions:
1 - I agree w/Chip. Grab Ethereal for your sniffer.
2 - Unplug one and watch the lights. If one is still blinking like crazy, there's the culprit.
3 - Good.
4 - Here's a quick link that details how...
