The /sbin/rc* scripts run the equivalent /etc/rc*.d scripts before calling the uadmin command. The databases would be shut down at this point.

Further info... The clone tapes are all labelled CPxxxx and these are the only ones ejected and sent off line. I amended the second script to include the other tape labels in case I had to deposit other groups of tapes

These are the different tape labels PR0000, AR0000, PL0000 and CP etc... Will depend on your labeling standards

Try setting the parallelism to 1 on each drive. Apparently this allows the software to decide which drives to use.

Calling the save command without specifying the -b (pool) option causes Legato to use the default group. Using the Networker User icon to backup files from the client also calls for the Default pool. I cannot find a way to change it. Also creating a new group and not associating it with any tape...
