I try to create a <div> that only contains text, on mouse over there should be an image visible on another position.
I have tried Javascript Swapimage, but there is no image to be swapped in the text <div>.
Any help will be apprreciated.

In my opinion it is best to create a table in Indesign and import the excel-data.
You will have to use the pop-tab script you will find at
www.pdsassoc.com
This is a very good an deasy script that will save you days of work.
Then create paragraph styles.
For instance a 'bold' style for all the...
I just want to let everyone know that the option of skewing type is a DEADLY SIN for serious typographers. An italic is NOT simply a skewed regular font. It has a different overall design (particularly visible in the letters a, g, f)
As an answer to the topic:
Make sure you do have the italic...
Me and my collegue have exactly the same problem.
Sorry Galvin, but your answer does not seem to be a solution, because when i insert pages they have to be masterpages (thanks anyway!)
I have not discovered yet what exact circumstances causes this phenomenon.
I hope someone knows more...
I found out that this is a bug that Adobe knows about.
See:www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331630.html
Adobe states that the Graph tool in Illustrator CS2 does not recognize pasted text correctly without the Illustrator CS2 12.0.1 update installed.
The problem now is that i cannot install the...
I have upgraded from Illustrator CS1 to CS2 (using Mac OSX 10.4.7)
Before i could copy data from MS Xcell to the Graph Data window in Illustrator and make a nice bar- or linegraph.
In CS2 all the data changes the moment i paste it into the Illustrator Graph Data window: all kinds of crazy...
I know the problem, there is (as far as i know) no "easy way" so that Indesign wil "know" which objects belong to which page.
My solution would be:
(first, save your file under a new name so your original work will not be lost)
Select all the objects on the spread (Command A)
Group all these...
JMgalvin,
thanks, i would appreciate you sending me IE 5. I hope my mailbox will accept a file this big. Please send it to pieter@typography.nl
On iCab: yes it was the clock-thing, but still most of the sites do not display with i cab... plus it crashed after a while.
Upgrading...of course...
I have an i mac at home with OS9 that i connected to the internet. On this mac is installed Internet Exlporer 4.5, which is not woring too well. Half of the sites cannot be displayed.
So far i learned that only Mozilla 1.2.1 or Internet Explorer 5, or icab work with OS9.
Unfortunately i have not...
What you really need is a look at:
Have a look at
www.pdsassoc.com
and look for PopTab
Here you can download THE tool you need to "populate" a table with data from excel etc; this is called "PopTab"
You only have design a table once (size of cells, lines, font, fontsize, color whatever)...
Please does anyone know how to turn off fonts that i don't use in Indesign.
Now i have this list of maybe 50 fonts which makes it annoying to look up a font.

In OS X 10.4 Tiger all this is a standard option in system preferences/keyboard and mouse!!

Thanks scribbler,
Eventually i found the answer at the forum of macoshints, with this link
http://gnufoo.org/ucontrol/#install
It works perfect! No CAPS for me anymore.
PS. Tips like 'remove the key' are not really a valuable contribution to this forum.

Is it possible to disable CAPSLOCK?
It's so annoying everytime I hit the capslock-key by mistake I START TYPING TEXT IN CAPS
and then have to type it all over again (although not in Indesign where you can change to lowercase, but for instance in e-mails

Alas, the setting of the graph-tool is very limited. Colors, type, etc. cannot be set here.
Also, whenever new data is put in, everything changes randomly as described above. Copying the graph makes no difference.
Using InDesign CS2 (Dutch version) in OSX 10.3.9 on a mac G4
When i make a graph in illustator i set lines and text in specific colors and positions.
When i want to change the data of this graph (to make a second graph in the same style) lines change back to thick black lines, the position of the text changes randomly, colors change to black etc.
So then...
I also think this is not possible.
The real question is WHY would you want to use such an odd numbering? All magazines or books number all the pages, be it advertising or editorial pages.
