When i make a graph in illustator i set lines and text in specific colors and positions.
When i want to change the data of this graph (to make a second graph in the same style) lines change back to thick black lines, the position of the text changes randomly, colors change to black etc.
So then i have to set everything right again. Wanting to make 30 graphs in the same style, this means a lot of unneccesary work

Is there a way to set all elements permanently?

Or is the another program that does this better?

Using Illustrator CS om a Mac G4, OSX

Try double clicking the Graph Tool and setting the graphs as you'd like them.
Or maybe Copy Pasting the existing graph, then changing the data.

Alas, the setting of the graph-tool is very limited. Colors, type, etc. cannot be set here.
Also, whenever new data is put in, everything changes randomly as described above. Copying the graph makes no difference.

Using InDesign CS2 (Dutch version) in OSX 10.3.9 on a mac G4
