Compact ICS Flash ROM Card - software upgrade

As noted above, 7.1 was the last release for the CICS (and MICS). All versions used linear flash cards. They were 4mb - 8mb depending upon the version. The Norstar CallPilot used ATA type cards between 64mb - 128mb. Not sure which type card the UK software used.

SE Java build 1.8.0_401 issue with BEM

I'm in the process of migrating my Win7 PC to a Win10 PC. I copied in my Element Manager, and downloaded the latest version of Java. I edited the java.security file to remove referrals to MD5 and had the same problem as you. I then copied in the java.security file from my Win7 PC to my Win10...

Hello all. After 38 years I will be

I'm about 90% retired at this point, but am still dabbling with BCM50's. 45+ years since I strapped on a tool belt and butt set in August 1978 for Pacific Telephone. Don W, enjoy your retirement. Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/briancox1952...

Bcm50R3 Bcm50/450 replacement Hard Drive Failed

R3 always seems to be difficult. I had one this week to repair and upgrade to R6. I didn't have a ready made R3 hard drive, so I threw in an R2. It booted up OK, but the system ID was blank when I accessed F9*8 through a digital phone. I then imaged an R3 hard drive and the system ID came up...

    BCM50 - Brute Force Attack

Ah, the intrepid BCM logs. Sooner or later they will jam up the hard drive and cause a service call. It also has happened on my FreePBX. In fact, that reminds me it's time to clear the logs. Thanks for the update. Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com...

    BCM50 - Brute Force Attack

In the first post, I saw multiple references to different account logins such as cisco, admin, superuser etc. I was wondering if some of them related to the older BCM Enterprise Windows NT accounts and other old IP equipment as "superuser" used to be one of the old NT ones?" I had similar...

    BCM50 - Brute Force Attack

So, if it's supposed to scan for threats, why was it hitting the BCM with login attempts? Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/briancox1952 https://brian-cox.square.site/

    BCM50 - Brute Force Attack

As far as I know, only the BCM200/400 used an IP in the 10.10.10.x range by default. Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/briancox1952 https://brian-cox.square.site/

    BCM50 - Brute Force Attack

Yes, CIM in this case is Common Information Model, which is basically the BCM database you connect to using BEM and port 5989. I've used a program called CIM Navigator to connect to BCM's. You use the nnadmin login and designate port 5989. It's mildly interesting to me, but most times I don't...

    BCM 400 4.0 lights flashing

Get into BIOS and check for the OS option. For a Linux drive the OS should be set to Linux or other. Pre R4 BCM400s were set for Windows. Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/briancox1952 https://brian-cox.square.site/

    BCM 400 4.0 lights flashing

A grub error means the system can't find the bootup files on the hard drive. This is a Linux error, so it could mean a corrupt hard drive. Are you able to get into the BIOS setup with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse? Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com...

    BCM50 Configurations

You likely could not download EM from the BCM50 using that link because you have an older release BCM50. Version 62.0.3 is only available from an R6. I'm assuming you found the doc I wrote listing the direct download links from an R6, but in case you found the link somewhere else ...

BCM 400 Take HD and Put into a different BCM400 can it be done? Keys?

Telephone programming is stored on the MSC card. That's why it was maintained. Voicemail programming is on the hard drive, so that's why it was lost. Good to know that Avaya is still preserving the license files for these old systems. Brian Cox Georgia Telephone http://Georgia-Telephone.com...
