F9 should refresh, but F5 is now recommended (yep, it no longer locks the client). Does F5 work?

IT Policies are notoriously tricky to write and police. We've spent quite a lot of time devising ours, and while I can't copy them here I'll post the structure (index) we've used in the hope that it will be of use. You'll have to fill in the detail yourself!
SECTION A – MANDATORY CONTRACTUAL...
This is usually caused by corruption in bookmarks.nsf. If you close the client then delete (or rename) this file a new, clean one will be created. You'll lose a few settings (e.g. your bookmark list) but these can be redone easily.

I'd like extract just the time out of this into a new column, but my excel skills are sadly lacking. Can anyone help please.

To add to a point made by kmcferrin, we've had a PC infected by a trojan from an IM app on MySpace. Sites like this are now blocked.

Choosing another address book should add it to the list rather than replace the present one. I've got multiple address books listed in this way. Does yours definitely replace the existing address book?

Try:
File > Preferences > User Preferences
Mail > General
At the top it says 'Local Address Books'. Hit 'Browse..', then find the local address book & click Open.

We've had problems with Mac attachments in the past. One thing that's helped is turning off LZ1 compression (db properties, advanced tab)

MS have stopped support for IE for Mac and removed the download. I wouldn't touch this version anyway. NS4.7 was removed from download since it was felt to be insecure. It's also the buggiest browser I've ever used. If possible, stick to iCab. Even better, upgrade to Tiger :-)

iCab should work OK, it did for me when I was using OS9. From the iCab FAQ (http://www.icab.de/faq.html#q1)
I'm using the latest version of iCab, but it tells me it has expired
Check the date and time control panel on your Mac. The date is probably wrong. Correct date and time and iCab will...

I think that the question of anti-virus software for OSX is largely dependent on where you're running it.
If you're in a mixed corporate environment (PCs & Macs) then it's wise to use av in case of macro viruses etc (see jimbopalmer's post). All our corporate Macs are 'protected' using Sophos...
Thanks for the replies. I tried the reg fix, and resetting to Windows Classic first, but no joy. I'm sure the profile isn't corrupt - Windows remembers all the user settings except the colour.
I've done quite a bit of searching and it seems there are a few people with this problem. Haven't...
Hi all
A small problem with one PC here. I've changed the colour scheme to silver, but every time the machine reboots it changes back to the default blue. This wouldn't be a big deal except the use is colour-blind and can't read any text on the blue title bars. Any ideas how to fix this...
