I am trying to explain to an Australian customer customer how to wire his 6408D phone to the system and we are having a hard time understanding each other. He keeps telling me that he has 8 wires, I am trying to tell him he needs only 1 pair, preferably the white/blue blue/white, but any one...
Looking for some suggestions for answering service equipment. I just went out to service a company with AMTELCO UTIP boards, I'm not sure but it looked like they were carved out of granite :P.
Very old system with wierd problems, they need to upgrade, so I wanted to find some reasonable systems.
OK, Now I need to make a change to the IP403. User just changed local service provider in the Carribean, now all calls show up as main number. they want individual extensions to show up for billing purposes. Is this relatively easy to do?
OK, so know it is collecting data, but know COMMONE is suposed to review a logfile in order to generate a templat I suppose in order for me to run reports. I haven't heard back from the company since the last post. Would anyone know anything more about it?
Does anyone have a SOP for backing up a G3siV12 and Audix?
I need to write up a draft for my backup log, but I'm bad at the whole write instructions for making a peanut butter sandwich to someone that's never seen or heard of peanuts or butter or sandwichs.
I am trying to get the above mentioned software to capture calls at my shop. I need to change the BAUD rate in the application to match the Merlin Legend running at 1200, 8/N/1. Has anyone used this software before??
Well, now I went upstairs, called a number the customer has a bridged appearance of and on her display, it shows
call for joe mucknfudge
123-456-7890.
But, now we noticed that not all incoming calls are showing who they are calling for.
I don't see a display name field on page 2, but I do see send name and send number which I'm thinking applies to outbound calls. And, the customer clarified the trouble as that of a bridged call appearance issue. Apparently, people she has bridged on her phone receiving calls, on her display it...
And ISDN PRI is exactly what I have it set to. I looked at my options and I could make it ATM or IP, would either of these choices be advisable. Of course, I'm not going to make any changes today, but I'm sure the executives are gonna want to see sparks (well, not so much sparks) and hear gears...
I just received a trouble ticket stating that when an external call comes in, only the calling parties number is displayed and not the name. From the tone of the trouble ticket, it looks like a new problem. I can't remeber if we used to get the name and number before. Anyhow, we just ugraded the...
Customer not able to receive calls through Nortle Matra PBX (French version).
I've been looking for programming documentation/instructions, but can't find any. Any ideas as to correcting restriction/routing problem?
GOAOZ,
The ship is actually decomissioned and has been parked, literally, in the dirt. Wi-Fi is going in an area under the fan tail set up as the office for the restoration/preservation team and visiting reservist. The only partition is between the berthing area and the office/eating area.
I am going to install a Wi-Fi system a historical ship. The ship has 1/4 inch thick steel all over the place, the WI-FI is going in the office area for visiting restoration workers to access internet. Will the steel cause any interference with the wireless signal? If so, does anyone have a remedy?
So Feature #1,Cancel Send Message, is that like turning send calls off? I'm not teribly familiar with Nortel, but I had reserve duty this weekend, I stood quarter deck watch. Calls would come in and go straight to the centers Vm tree. I pressed the list button and the display read "Evening...
Well, i tried to make the changes to the IP-serv, and I get the following error.
Must be defined as a valid ethernet link on CLAN.
So I guess I need to remove all the stuff I did before and redo it.
Have you checked in the ISDN Public-Unknown-Numbering.
I know that you can add your extension to the ISDN Pub list for outbound calls to see your extension.
I'm trying to figure out all the fields that I need to access in the PBX to set up the CLAN card to allow login through network rather than modem. Where do I go to input Source IP Address and Broadcast IP?
I would read the manual, but I need a manual to read the manual.
So I removed and reinstalled the appropriate software and how embarrasing for me, the comm port was not matching between Targus and Palm Sync, so I just had to make them match and viola. Thanks tgus.%-)
