This is my attempt to compile one of the most complete listings of Norstar feature codes on the web.

There are sure to be errors. If you see one, please post it and I will correct it.

If you notice any missing codes, post the code, where it may be found in the Nortel documentation and I'll add it.

I hope you find this information to be accurate and useful.

MarvO, thanks for the additions. I'm maintaining an updated copy feature code list in the Norstar Systems FAQ. However, I'm restricting the list to XC 6.1 and CallPilot features that I can test.

Added:
Feature 9*0 Transfer call to FastRAD
Feature 72 Timed Release
Feature 807 Ringing (Signal) Call

See "What are feature codes are available for the Modular ICS XC 6.1 and CallPilot 150?" (faq799-4558) for the latest update.

Don't forget F9*9 Time Stamp for internal log files.

Had to use this one alot lately to help Nortel debug a problem I'm having.

9*1 review call pilot feature codes prior to init.

#65 Cancel Message
This one comes in handy when you get an M7100 or M7208 that say "message" but there is no VM in the set's VM.

Thanks guys, but first check out the updated FAQ "What are feature codes are available for the Modular ICS XC 6.1 and CallPilot 150?" (FAQ799-4558). It contains the latest updates which include F9*1, F9*9 and F#65.

And of course don't foget the F983 hidden codes.1-9,11,22,33,44,55,66,77,88.

PhoneBroke, Thanks for the posting. I'm not familiar with the hidden codes. Are they documented somewhere? Do they work on a CallPilot 150? Can you fill me in on the details?

Any one know what "Static Time and Date" does?
Don't remember the feature code, all i know is it toggeled on and off and didn't do a thing.
This was on a BCM 3.5?
Thanks
Gabriel

Static Time and Date. F806 - F#806 (off).
It is designed to hide info about messages and calls shown on a display screen.

PhM

Static time and date changes the first line of the display to the current time and date, until reset.

F983 Hidden
1 Reset Startalk
2 System Config
3 Play canned prompts
4 Voice Mail Available/ Directory Available/Directory Name Choice
5 Number of Channels
6 General Delivery
7 Reports
8 DTMF tone duration parameter
9 Software Version
11 Caller ID table
22 Backup
33 Restore
44 Key Codes
55 Port disable
66 Create Mailbox Utility
77 External Mailbox Initialize
88 Dialing Translation Table

Good Luck

A nice addition to the F983 codes in the NAM R4.1 and CallPilot is to login to the voicemail, press the MBOX softkey, dial 1, and you can then edit the classes of service that previously required using Voicemail Manager. Makes it easy to turn off password expiry, and turn on the record-a-call feature.

So Feature #1,Cancel Send Message, is that like turning send calls off? I'm not teribly familiar with Nortel, but I had reserve duty this weekend, I stood quarter deck watch. Calls would come in and go straight to the centers Vm tree. I pressed the list button and the display read "Evening Service On". No one seemed to know how to make calls ring to the phone.
Before I get any flack, I'm in the Navy so no jarhead jokes please, though I did serve 8 years in the Marine Corps, but that just means I can break stuff real good, sometimes on purpose.

Gezlee, The send message was a predecessor of voicemail, you could set a message on someone elses phone with feature 1 and that would turn on the message for you display on the telephone, the person who had the message for you on the display would dial featrue 65 to see who the messages were from and return their calls. the cancel send message was to void the message for you at the second phone from the sender at the first phone.

Nice thing to know about this is because you still get calls from people that can't clear their message cause someone was playing with the buttons and dialed feature 1 2 3 4 and then left a message on ext 234.

the service question is when the evening service is on it changes the ringing pattern according to the ring groups, if the voicemail's extension is assigned to the ring group then the AA will answer immediately when a call comes in on the lines that are in the group.

So who's gonna take the time to compile all the additions to one complete list.
