The reason why I said using it in OPS Manager is because the help page within the System Admin for the 3300 says the Remote Directory Number form should not be used to add details, only OPS Manager should be used.
I've not had time to look at this any more yet, but I will report back on if it...
Thanks for your reply.
Both the Display ANI... options are already set to Yes for both the Trunk CoS and the phone CoS (as well as ANI/DNIS/ISDN Number Delivery Trunk on the incoming trunk).
It still just displays Cable & Wireless.
Hi all,
We have several 3300 ICPs, most of our numbers are DID and the calls come via an old analogue ISDx. When our IP Phones ring, the display just indicates Cable & Wireless (our provider).
We have Mobile Extension running, and the logs within Mobile Extension are able to correctly give the...
I understand ... although I'm not quite ready to try those ARS Digits Dialed just yet given what could happen if it doesn't work quite right. I might try it with an XXX + 1 route to SIP trunk so the most I can break is a set of 10 extensions - just as soon as I get a range of 10 digits I can...
Thanks for your post slapin. I understand what you mean about having the extensions residing on Asterisk routed the the ICP which has the SIP Trunk (Remote Directory Number Assignment), however I don't get what you mean by:
"Then make this SIP trunk the last choice for prefixes pointing to xxxx...
The requirement for the Mobile Client to work is that the device must have access to the Internet.
Normally phones can access the Internet via GPRS, 3G or WiFi. The Mobile Client software doesn't care which method is available (it might not even be able to tell), as long as one is available...
Hi all,
We currently have 4 Mitel 3300 ICPs in a cluster. I can create a 4 digit extension on any ICP, and call this from a phone on any other ICPs.
I have created a SIP Trunk to an Asterisk server, currently I have 4 digit extensions on this, and I'm using ARS Digits Dialed form to say 'If I...
Thanks for the reply. This is something which I have considered, although wouldn't be as tidy as doing it all through the database. It looks like I might end up doing it this way as I can't find any way to make the system reload the database data without actually restarting the ME service.
Hello all,
The current user administration web page from Mobile Extension isn't good enough for what we want. The 4 digit password is a concern to open it up to the world, and we would like to be able to specify what settings the users can and can't change.
I've been investigating other...
isrm,
Thanks, you were correct. I had checked and double checked my settings - however the notes I made had the Desktop Monitor and Outgoing Lines CoS the wrong way round - so there was no 'suppress simulated CCM' for the outgoing lines. Changed and all is working.
Now to find out how to pull...
I know we have some form of ISDN link with what was described to me as a bank of SIM cards for calling mobiles. There is no passcode or anything like that.
The thing which I don't get is why it works fine with the outgiong line on ME002, but not any of the other ones. I believe the ISDN link...
Hi all,
We have 5 Mitel 3300 ICPs, and I have finally configured Mobile Exchange to work correctly with 1 of them.
I have now tried to expand the configuration to to other 4 ICPs, however I'm experiencing a strange issue.
I've created one domain within Mobile Extension for each 3300. I...
I am able to log into the web application from a machine on the same subnet as the phones.
The system running Mobile Extensions only has Mitel Standard Linux and Mobile Extensions on it. There is a single interface card in use (there is a secondary one in the machine but this is not configured...
The desk phone stops ringing as soon as I answer the mobile, so I'm presuming it has detected that I picked up on the mobile.
The CoS options are enabled - I've got 1 CoS group which includes all the options for both types (hopefully that isn't a problem).
Sorry, You are right - I should have tried your advice seeing as I am asking for it.
I added the local network to include the /16 that the Mitel 3300 is on - I did this under the Mitel Standard Linux settings.
The result I get is exactly the same - no audio unless I use the Answer...
Thanks for your replies. I'm using Mobile Extension V1.7.111.0, The 3300 is version 8.8 I believe.
The subnets shouldn't need to be added as local networks as they are properly routed via the default gateway. If this was a problem I don't think the Mobile Extension would be able to interact...
As an update to the above problem:
I've just enabled answer confirmation and when I pickup the call I hear the "press *" message and the call is put through with 2 way audio!
Turning it off reverts to the original problem of no audio in either direction.
Hi all,
I've just setup Mobile Extensions with one of our 3300 ICPs. When someone rings my desk number, I've got it calling my mobile - which rings as expected.
The problem is, when the call is connected, there is no audio at all. I've tried twinning to another internal extension, but this has...
