Hi there, I work with dvokins and this issue is still unresolved. We have about 10 servers out in the field that are experiencing the same problems. One site can successfully do a backup if they use a tape cleaner first, but even that's about 50% of the time. It sounds like a dust problem...

I've had the same problem with amirdmon. I wound up just moving it to amirdmon.sav and rebooted. All is good now. It's still safe because the MegaRaid program has an alarm that sounds if a hard drive fails with or without this monitor. I'm also having a performance issue with the same setup...
