slow server performance

Hi there...

I've upgraded a few old servers to new P4 Dell and Touch Servers. Both brands were operating slower than the previous servers using the same applications.

The only difference was that I'm utilizing RAID 1 now, but now I'm on a MUCH faster server.
The Dell server turned out to be slow because of the amirdmon. Disabling that solved that problem.

BUT the Touch servers aren't using that monitor. The raid controller is the Infortrend IFT-2101UB Raid controller. I can't find out how to disable it's monitor or to even find out if that's causing the slowdown on those servers as well.

We're running SCO osr5.0.6 Enterprise with all patches applied.
Looking over the sar results hasn't helped me to find the problem.

ANY help would be much appreciated.

Hi ,

You have access to the Controller Setup ? , if you controller can use its owns cache configure that one.
