why ?? because preparing a harddisk for remote site and did not have diun2. all ok sdsu ready card ready only the green lamp is not coming up to show visible indication.

i did change bcsu DIUN2 to DIUT2 to replace and check new card i did change funsu command as it appeared and warned me. now i changed the config back to diun2 the circuit is working fine but the green lamp is not lighting does anyone come across this kind of problem. pl help. my system is v3.8.4

can i put the last patch v3.8.27 and unix R5.o.34 to any v3 system. is it allowed are it has previous patches.

i found the exchange working in GLA area and cannot take backup though please advice what should i do to make exchange work from PDS area. and tell me whether GLA area is created automatically. we use v3 system with dual processors.

dear sbcsu thanks for your reply the version is v3 went back to exchange again and found everything intact ipaddress routes and firewall then pulled out adp and inserted back now the remote people can ping now. why this happens is a mystery.

suspect ADS IP got erased why this happens and how to avoid this in future. just fixed the new hard disk 2 days back. at that time all was good even from remote. pl give your ideas

thanks a lot sbcsu yes i have an A. It is a duplex exchange. but at present i used only one dscxl card in order to creste a hard disk.

can anyone tell me whther what i did is correct or wrong. i had the pure RMX and UNIX in a flash and booted with this disk and i copied the area E and area I from flash to harddisk newly initialised one and sytem came up and running i did not use HD imange tool. the system is working on test...
