I have a weird problem on a Nortel 1140 (CS1k). When calling the 2nd DN on the phone, the phone rings but when the user picks up he hears a continuous tone. From the caller side it is still ringing. The user has to push the key in order to get the caller on...
I have already added another phone to the line in question and set it to appr&ring with CLID checked (the phone was on a different port) but no CLID was received.
Thanks for the suggestion Telcodog, but the settings on the BCM are OK: appr&ring and CallerID Set is checked.
Cook1082: I do not get CLID even after picking up. I will check the telco section of the phone.
I am having the same problem on BCM400 and still haven't figured out the source of the problem. Is it doing it on all the sets/lines?. It could be the GATM that is acting up. try to change the GATM and see if it fixes the problem.
