    Like Phil said, we'll need the exact model number of the machine. Dell makes it pretty easy with a "Service Tag Number", a Gateway will require the "serial number", IBM/Lenovo wants a "type number", others will require the exact model number of the motherboard. Then we can help... Skip

    48Mb is a problem for W2K to run well. My oc'd 200MMX's run 192, 256, and 384Mb. Puppy Linux is the only decent choice I've found for a linux distro on any of 'em. DSL runs fine but just doesn't do much. Anyway, good luck recovering the 9x drivers off that cd. Let us know if you get away...

    For case fans (assuming there's good airflow thru the case), you should only need the psu fan to exhaust hot air. You can add one of the 120mm in the rear to help exhaust warm air but you shouldn't need any fan to intake ambient air. I'm assuming you have a vertical case? Skip
