Most everyone suggested a hardware issue or cable or heat. Lets get simple and maybe the drive is running out of space to cache in or a program is doing something in the background unknown to the user or there is something going on with the operating system and how it is talking to the driver or corrupt driver. I have a system with two partitions and two different operating systems and only one of them does it. And it is the one that has more data on it.

So... what's your question? Sounds like you're suggesting you know the problem, more so than you are asking as to what the problem/issue is, and how to fix/change it.
Other than the LED constantly running, have you noticed anything else?

Everything from malware to Desktop Search programs (Windows Search, Google Desktop), indexing service and ill-timed anti-virus scans, etc. will cause this dreaded non-stop disk activity.

goombawaho speaks the truth. Each machine that does this could have a different reason such as malware, insufficient memory causing constant access to the swapfile, too many bloatware programs running on startup; the list is nearly endless.

Let me try to summarize what happened here in a constructive manner:
1. You started a new post when you meant to comment on another post - that was a flat out mistake. That's not what we do here - or on any forum for that matter. Your post (as a stand-alone post) made no sense at all.
2. We basically asked "what the heck are you doing?" and you weren't happy that we admonished you once we understood what you were doing.
3. Please continue to participate but get the flow of how things work.
People go out of their way here to answer sometimes great and sometimes stupid questions, but they do all of it for free. Why I don't know. So, it's not surprising that people get upset when they have to coax a proper question out of people that post like we are mind readers because they haven't phrased the question well or they have provided virtually NO information.
