Call Forwarding with CO provided account codes on a Magix R4 w/PRI

Here's an update - Increasing the pauses didn't help (we tried up to 5 and again without any). Regardless, all the calls attempted to process, because they'd show up on the smdr monitor with no talk time and we'd hear the account code prompt tone. Now - In reference to using the speed dials, as...

Call Forwarding with CO provided account codes on a Magix R4 w/PRI

We did add a second pause before the number and got the same result. As for speed dialing, I think the only way this could work is if I assigned that extension as a hotline - other than that I don't see any way for that phone to forward. Of course the manual has no such reference to this. I...

Call Forwarding with CO provided account codes on a Magix R4 w/PRI

I'm trying to Call Forward an Extension to an outside number which worked perfectly until the customer changed providers and now is required to enter account codes (from the CO - not the switch) All attempts net me the account prompt tone. If I then enter the account code manually myself, the...

Thoughts on dealing with remote access with todays digital lines- what works best?

Usually we talk the customer into getting (or keeping)a few analog lines for two reasons. 1)When is their PRI/T-1 goes out of service, most providers offer a "call forward on busy" where inbound calls can be automatically forwarded to those lines keeping the customer marginally in service...

Citel/MCK Extenders with Avaya IP Office

I've already been on the phone with MCK(not Multitech). This whole thread started because one of the techs saw an announcement on the Citel website that the extenders were compatible with the IP Office - it still says that now... Talking with Randy, their tech support person, I found out that...

Citel/MCK Extenders with Avaya IP Office

One more thing - you're probably asking WHY I would even use the extenders with this switch when it has its own IP phone ability. That's a question for the other technicians trying to get the 9600's to work over the VPN - not my department. I was called in to reuse the gateways that worked great...

Citel/MCK Extenders with Avaya IP Office

Folks, I am having a hard time proving difficulty connecting a Citel/MCK Extender pbx gatewayI to an IP Office. My fellow technician seems to think this is an IP issue and that the IP Office need to "see" a complete connection all the way from the remote phone through the gateway to the PBX. My...

    Bad TTR's on Magix

I tested the switch onsite - nothing wrong. Turns out the customer made a change to the default location in the voicemail basically telling it that what once was there now was not - the port "lock ups" were actually the v-mail port in a loop looking for the information "Get Inband Info" to play...

    Bad TTR's on Magix

A Combination of POTS and PRI w/DID service. This has just recently become a problem within the past week. The Duvoice replaced their Intuity a little over a year ago. I only noted the reliable disconnect was on to avert a deluge of fix responses as this is the primary reason voicemail ports...

    Bad TTR's on Magix

I have an R2.2 with over 40 digital and analog TTR's. Message waiting light issues and port lockups in regards to the connected Duvoice DV2000 are the problem. (Yes, reliable disconnect is set)When testing, and after dialing the 2 digit ttr#, I randomly will get dead air. If I continue with the...

    message wait LED, no VM

If they're display phones - Press MENU, Then MSGS, and then DELETE, and that pesky light should go out, all you did was do a message waiting light clear on the system - you should do a fresh after that to turn back on the valid mailboxes with new messages.

Lost Idle Message on 412 TDL

Here's an update everyone - I did the test Merlinman suggested - called the company had them put me on hold - called them back on another line and monitored how many seconds as I hung up. Approx 4 secs on the disconnect. To answer another question - the other switch problem was in conjunction...

    DSS issues

The DSS Console uses the 4th pair (Wht/Brn)on an RJ-45, which is the power pair. ALSO - If the phone wiring is connected to a different port you will also have an issue with the DSS. On a Legend/Magix the operator phones need to be in specific ports on the switch and setup as operators, or the...

Lost Idle Message on 412 TDL

Here's anther good one for us to kick around. A customer is complaining about dropped calls on their MagixR3. The maintenance log shows error # 840F "Lost Idle Message Error" on ONLY the 412TDL line ports (there are also 800GS/LS/ID modules)This is not the first time I've seen this with Magix...

PRI table Digit translation tables lose inbound Caller ID

OK Folks - this HAS to be software related because: I used a customer of mine who has a PRI with the same provider and setup. I renumbered a DID ext, then setup a table to convert the inbound DID to the renumbered station, which passed Caller ID both times - this was an R3 Magix, but still the...

Legend Modem creates static over entire system

UPDATE! Guess what folks. I replaced the T-1 card and NO MORE TROUBLE! I used a replacement card with the sane hardware & firmware vintages as the bad card too, so go figure - my buddy was right. I replaced the suspected bad processor, and was still ableto access the modem either way, and never...

PRI table Digit translation tables lose inbound Caller ID

How DO you pass Caller ID to those pesky analog stations?

PRI table Digit translation tables lose inbound Caller ID

That is baffling to me as well and the only real way to test is to point the main number at a different extension (DID)and if it still returns to the console, then we may be onto something. Another thing I considered is renumbering the LDN since it is a Queued console and see if that helps.

PRI table Digit translation tables lose inbound Caller ID

I am also in the process of doing a test with a recent customer who has a Magix with a PRI & DIDs. I'm going to take one ext & renumber it, then digit manip that old ext's DID to the renumbered ext. - we'll see. I also called our distributor's tech support (God forbid you call Avaya directly)and...
