Yes, Workplace is sort of a replacement for Phone Manager. It might be worthwhile getting a trial licence to try it for real.
BTW there's also an app for IoS and Android.
If you have server edition you could use One-X portal but in my experience it is much more complex app that seems to use...
I'm sure Workplace needs Preferred Edition and one of the user licenses.
In Workplace settings - desktop integration - Outlook addin
In Chrome - extensions - Avaya browser extensions (I have this turned off as it can conflict with other numbers onscreen)
Have a look at Youtube for some...
It is rather a lucky dip on Ebay as most are sold without any info but you are likely to get an Essential license as Basic edition doesn't seem to be very popular,
I've learned the hard way to do my homework before resetting any kit - and it is not just Avaya.
Digital and analogue phones should in Basic mode though I've not used those models.
I assume you have a VCM card for IP phones which will no longer work but I recall you get 6 'free' SIP channels.
Voice networking licenses come in blocks of 4. SIP trunk licences are per line and cheaper so you may want to do your sums, but SCN is easier to set up and has more functionality.
Bear in mind these were end of live with Avaya some. time ago.
The networking business was acquired by Extreme Networks who have newer models, but I am sure you need a contract to access any upgrades.
Thanks Sizbut. I've not tried every combination but it looks as though fallback works with a digital but not analogue extension.
Probably because it doesn't know if an analogue phone is connected or not.
All analogue ports show an analogue port even if one is connected whereas digital ports...
Thanks Sizbut. Just for the record Manager Help and the KB say
Default = Blank (No fallback)
Defines an alternate destination which should be used when the current destination, set in the Destination field cannot be obtained. For example if the primary destination is a hunt group returning...
I've read the KB and threads here but not 100% clear on how this works on R11.0
There's an ICR for calls to an analogue extension to fallback to the main hunt group if busy or no answer but this doesn't seem to work after the fallback time (system default 15s). The KB says this is way to do...
Gradually getting used to it. I like the way I can watch a forum and received e-mails but initially it signed me up for everyone I had ever visited so I had to 'untick' a lot of them.
Agreed about the FAQs so I hope the newer ones will reappear
