Team,
We inherited a site with an on prem IP500 system. About 30 phones.
I have access to the controller with login info.
One of their physical phones went out and we bought a replacement. The replacement is asking for an enrollment code (I'm assuming to adopt itself into the system).
I have very little knowledge of these systems. How do I get this particular code? We don't have any maintenance contracts and support seems to be hard to get.
Thanks,
Blake

Factory reset? If not it could be from the old phone owner. Could also be the way your site is setup. Pickup a cheap service contract, If your not familiar with Avaya you will need some help (if not now, later) since all the good info is gated.

So I just asked one of the employees on-site if they could get into the Administration settings and do the factory reset. The code everyone online is using is 27238. I hope that works.
A service contract doesn't look like an option. Out of the 7 companies I called, 2 were out of business and the other 5 refused to support it.
Avaya wants a minimum of $2400 to fix it. Sorry, not to bring 1 phone online.

Also, the phone was sold as new on Amazon so hopefully it's not refurbished from a previous company.

Which model of phone? There are many different types which work in different ways?

Probably a 3pcc phone that ran on Avaya Cloud Office some time ago.

If it is a 3pcc then it will not work with IPO

In my experience the enrolment code comes up when the phone cant access the 46xxsettinsg file and not setup on DES.

I suspect the site was never setup correctly to deliver the right settings and the file sever had been added manually.

Default the phone when it boots go into Admin and set the file servers IP address under IP Configuration and http server.

factory reset the phone from the admin settings, and when the blue screen pop out asking for phone provisioning click no. then the phone will start to connect to the http server / call server if not get into admin settings with the access code 27238 then go to IP Config >> servers >> http then assign the call server IP address in this field and in the https as well.

if you couldn't do this, you can do the following

when the phone asking for the enrolment password you can cancel it you should find the cancel button and press on it. the the phone will try to have IP from the DHCP and then connect to the call server. if not you can inter the admin settings with code 27238 and go to IP Config >> servers >> http then assign the call server IP address in this field and in the https as well.

screenshot of the phone error would help.

What's the part number as this will show if it is for IP Office or is a 3pcc model.
