Hi, a scheduled reboot is not possible on the ERS8300.
I've just double checked the possibility with the latest realease, 4.2.3.8, but lacking this functionality in the software code.
However, what you could do is use a management tool, for exampe SecureCRT, and run a reboot script at any given...
Hi,
First, enable SSH globally:
config sys set ssh enable true
Then, you can configure a local password for a specific user:
config cli password
Or do RADIUS authentication:
config radius server create x.x.x.x secret ****** acct-port 1813
config radius enable true
And configure your RADIUS...
Hi,
Did you try to delete them from your configuration and setting them up again and see what happens (clean ap configuration)?
Another solution could be to upgrade you WSS system (4.1 is outdated) and see if the AP's will install the new image. There where some issue in 4.x in regards to AP's...
Hi,
Make sure you don't have any access policies set incorrect. Also check within the radius overview on the 8600 if authentication fails from the radius, or if its local. Also check the radius security/system events to see if the request do hit the radius and, if so, for what reason it is...
Hi,
If I understand you correctly you should do the following:
configure 2 VLAN's (you've already configured as mentioned)
add the specific port to the specific VLAN
configure 2 radio profiles
configure 2 wireless service profiles (2 SSID's)
set fall through access to 'web-portal'
configure...
Hi,
Just reboot the switch and hit 'any key' to interrupt the boot process. Within this cli (monitor mode) you can select the reset-pwd. Ofcourse, you have to have a serial connection and a reboot is neccesary.
After this you can login with rwa rwa to have all right and define new passwords...
Hi leedsit,
The -y option is not a valid command after the show config commando. You can forget about this and use the verbose command like andy mentioned earlier, to have the output in your screen without hitting a key.
As you mentioned about your reboot issue, make sure you save the running...
Forget to say, make also sure the ap is accepted and allowed communication with your wss. You should check your alarm/events to see if the wss has received a request of the ap to connect and retrieve its configuration/images file(s).
Hi,
You should first the uptime of the switchport on which the ap is connected. If it keeps a link for about 30 to 60 seconds you should probably check/adjust the following settings:
- is stg fast start enabled on the switchport which connects to the ap.
- is the specific vlan created on the...
Hi,
The running connfig on a ERS8600 can be shown by the following command:
show config
This will show you the running (live) config of the 8600. The config.cfg is the start up configuration file.
What you can do to retrieve the running config is:
1- do a 'save config' from the cli and copy...
The WLAN 2300 is a very nice way to wirelessly service your users. The 2300 serie does have some great features, especially in their latest products/software.
The 2332 allows for meshed setups, for example offering network connectivity between separated buildings by 2 ap's. Another feature...
Hi Lyle,
I'm not sure what the cause of the error is. Maybe there are some parameters missing within the page you're using which is causing the error.
I did encounter these problems too after upgrading :-(
You could try to use the original Nortel web-page and build you own within this page...
Hi Lyle,
Take a look at this thread:

I assume you're experiencing the same issue as I did some time ago.
If this does not resolve your issue let us know.
Good luck!
You should check wether or not 'tune channel' is enabled. If so the WSS will automatically adjust these settings regardless of your manually configured setting.
If channel tuning is enabled you should notice channel changes inyour log file.
You can change this setting in the specific radio profile.
Do you receive any trap from the 8600? If not you should check if there are any trap receivers configured and check the version (v1/v2). Also do you receive any other traps on your trap receive device?
What software code are you running? I'm confident you will see the source ip as of 8600...
Hi,
If the MTU on the contivity box is set to 1500 than this should not be the problem. Intermediar devices between the WSS and DAP needs to have a MTU of at least 1384. Since you have a MTU of 1500 on the contivity box, this cannot be the problem since it will not fragment the packets any...
Hi,
Since you actually can reach the www.cnn.com site, your internal and external networks are working fine. i think you should look into the box what happens with the port 80 traffic. Since all other traffic do traverse to this box, i assume something goes wrong in here. I'm not familiair with...
Since you see the AP gets an IP address from this specific dhcp sever in the other VLAN there is nothing wrong with the vlan setup. You mentioned you see the unconfigured DAP in the WSS, therefore IP communication is possible through these VLAN's. Also there is no issue with the dhcp option 43...
I don't think it is a software issue since you are running a pretty stable release.
Now your DAP is actually presented in the WSS but is this the setup with a dhcp server in the same vlan or in another vlan? If this is the setup with a non local dhcp server, the dhcp option 43 works fine since...
Since you noticed a dhcp 5000 (local request) it already passed the boot option 43 procedure since it will only do a dhcp 5000 if option 43 is not (correctly) configured. However you mention that the ap gets an ip-address from the WSS an you do actually see communication between those two. Not...
