I cannot change any settings in the menu for Energy saving schedules in the control panel. The settings are grayed out and says that some settings are done by the system administrator.
What I can recall I have'nt changed anything in my GP´s on my server.
Question is now, either to remove the...

Hi
To be brief: We have a backup server which takes care of our mail if our Exchange server goes down. However this backup server is at our ISP and sends tons of spam to our server.
Where and how do I block this server to connect to our's?
I have followed this guide...
Yes now it works fine. It was the damn brand new Netgear Firewall that blocked all traffic on 443.
However I'm now not exactly sure if my server sends spam or just answering on failed user lookups by spammers' mail?
Or does that counts as spam aswell?
The amount of mail outgoing is not more...
By the way. Im still getting spam sent from my server so somehow port 25 is working. And I have followed all settings from the guide above. :/

I have two firewalls to test and both gives the same result.
I'm almost desperate to call some Exchange experts here now.
And now OWA died so we can't use iPhone or remote clients.
Can I reinstall Exchange on a SBS server?
Sincerely
Ben

However I can not telnet to port 25 from external to my ip adress.
I have found some posts where ppl have problems receieving, but I dont have...
Hi

Now I'm I about to reinstall my PDC with SBS 2008 instead of 2003.
Is there anything else I need to worry about?
I have preped the forest/domain and installed the BDC. It can see all my users and OU:s. So everything works fine.
I tried to log in to the BDC with PDC's LAN cable unhooked, and...
First of all. I am not sure what to search for so if this question has been answered already please post a link :P
I have a small network with only one DC running as file/print server in Windows 2003.
And 10 clients with XP and Vista mixed enviroment.
I recently reinstalled the DC, keeping the...

Hi and thank you for your post.
But is it ok to install SQL 2005 std on a Windows 2003/2008 server which acts as an AD server?
I would rather throw SBS out of my companys window and use a standard Win2003/2008 server instead :)

Hi and thank you for your post.
Great program there.
However before I start to mess with this bginfo program, I have one more question.
Atm I use a GPO that sets clients desktop (a JPG file from my server) as well as having active desktop disabled. Clients can not change these setting...
Hi
As I understand most pople recommend not to install SQL on a DC server.
Is the SQL version bundled in lets say SBS 2003 different from any other "boxed" SQL server?
Reason for asking is that I have a SBS 2003 server atm. However I want to migrate to a Windows 2008 Std. or Ent.
I will run...
Hi
I am sure that this will work somehow (seen it on my doctor's computer hehe). But I have been searching for a while now on Google as well on this forum, but not been able to find any solution for this.
I want to have either a GPO or some reg fix to have all my clients XP/2000/Vista clients...
