I get stumped at the 3rd step in one of these (2010 >>> 2007) helps that says: Select the "Replace" button from the "Editing" section...

OK -- in ms Office 2010 Operating System Win 7 you can open an additional copy of an Excel file or Workbook -- let us say file titled A -- so that you can view multiple worksheets, e.g., sheet 1 vs. sheet 2 or sheet 41 side by side within a Workbook but no more than two files at a time as...
This does the same thing, i.e., brings up one or the other.

This works but not how I would expect for Office 2010 under OS Win 7. The “arrange all” gives two windows inside of an Excell overall window. But then you, linney, did say “Office 2007.”
So NOW it dawns on me --...
Right click brings up JL. Left click to select opens that file and JL disappears.
Right click brings up JL. Right click on a file and CTL-A nothing happens.

I can have several Excel or several Word files active on the task-bar/jump-list but, if I click on a file from the jump list, it overwites any file of the same type that is on the screen (restored or maximized). Same thing if I open a file from Windows Explorer (Win 7 filing sytem -- not the...
Thank you BadBigBen. This is very helpful even though it is not exactly the way I want it to work but we can't always have our way.
Q1) What does this mean? It does not make sense if one just disabled it.

Make that 50-100 or more files on the jump list (it only shows about 10 until you start deleting one by one so that it scrolls up). This is too cluttered for me.

If you right click on a task bar button, e.g., Word or Excel, you could get 8 or 10 files appear on the jump list.
I can right click on a single item (or file) on the jump list and then delete it.
Is there a way to delete all of the items at once on a jump list without unpinning the task bar...
Win 7 does NOT call it Balance. It calls it Equalizer. I was just trying to confuse myself – as if I needed that. It really has been an ordeal trying to figure out Windows Media Player, Autoplay, Equalizer and then finding it does nothing for speech/voice tonality. At least I have learned a...

Either one of these two formulae work:
=MAX(K5,L5)
=MAX(K5:L5)
Ha ---- This: IF(K5>L5,K5,L5) also works if the dummie puts in the preeminent = sign in front of the IF.

In cell M5 I have the following formula:
=IF(K5>L5,K5,L5)
The formula should enter the value from K5 into cell M5 if K5 is greater than L5.
If K5 is less than L5, the formula should enter the value from L5 into M5.
I have set up an example in the worksheet so that the value in K5 is 7 and...
