We have a S8720 with 10 S8300/g450 Lsp's. We are looking at call accounting systems and want some feedback,good and bad.
Has anyone used Microcall , Veramark or any other product. The directory on microcall looks interesting.Not really worried about call records from the LSP's if the systems go...
my recollection , that is the only way the voiemail message waiting feature button will work. You must have go off hook for the pilot to be dialed otherwise it will function as a phone to phone msg feature

when you are programming the phone (site administration), you add the voicemail pilot on page 4. It is on the bottom of the page where the the main call appearences are. It sounds like you are looking at the phone.
You want the ring to actually sound different.On 2420 phones you can have 8 different ring pattern. I have not found a way to have bridged app to have different ring patterns.
you can get rid of it by cha sys par cov : caller response interval to 0 or
cha tone generation redirect
not sure how to tell the default setting. careful with this setting.

Because Port Network Support field on the System Parameters Customer Options screen is to Y, There is no Used Only for Paging? field and ?Voice Paging Timeout? field on Page 3 of trunk group when the type is Wats.
All of my issues with on paging were at LSP's (G700 G250 and G450) which do not have aux cards or paging loudspeaker options. I don't believe Wats is an option at the Lsp's. Also ground start doesn't help because in my case people were putting the page trunk on hold by answering another caller...

that timer sets the time until the call starts to ring back. I want to lengthen the actual ring or amount of rings once that timer expires. I look in tone-generation hold-recall on page 2 but am not sure the settings or if that affects the ringing.
trying to increase the amount of rings when a call rings back to a station. right now I get 1 ring and a flashing phone symbol next to the line that put the call on hold.

I am having a trouble getting caller id on transferred calls from a 2410 and 2420 phones to an analog caller id phone. Dialing directly to the phone works great. Also on transfers to digital phones (2410 , 2420 )caller id work fine.
I need the scenario.

Does voicemail answer or what is answering to allow them to press 0.
Operations - Is this phone a digital set.
Is it ringing right to the operations phone or to a different line on the operations phone.
mod mlpfb lets you add lines to a digital phone
Sounds like the call goes to voicemail then they press 0 for operations. dis fwd will show the destination of the ext. dis cfac is also used for call fwd all. dis dstno shows destinations. Could be hunting dis sthg show hunt groups.
