For Definity 6400 series I have bridged appearances programmed and set as delayed ring, however after 3 or 4 rings they continue to blink...no audible rings.

I have per button ring control and bridged call alerting turned on.

What is the difference between abbreviated ring vs delayed ring?

Abbreviated ring is a little "chirp" of a ring; not a full ring.

is there a reason why on a delayed ring the bridged button does not ring? only continues to blink?

Not sure, perhaps the call has gone to cover? Try tracing the call ("list trace stat XXXX").

In the station programming for the ext that is the bridged appearence, you need to change the A/D to yes. This is next to the call appearences.

On the station where the bridge-appearance buttons are programed, change the 'Active Station Ringing' field found on the 2nd page to 'continuous'
