But that will not change the actual extensions in the system right?
Ok I will try that. Also I checked it is possible to use only 2 digits for location code. It accepts that, when I was monitoring the dialing it sends only the 2 digits.
Is it possible somehow to add you on my email so don't...
Ok so if I see the monitor to send 3102230 than that should be the public receiver for the extension 2230.
But I tried making that, but it does not accept more than 4 digits.
How to make it when it does not accept?
I don't have mcdn licence keycodes.
What do u need to setup for the target lines?
I have set them up for 4 digit access same as the extension number. I don't know if you meant about that or not
So each extension has target line added.
It shows when I dial 83102230 it shows 310223 and than it disconnects.
I as soon as I dial the last 3 it disconnects.
I don't know what can be the problem. Checked the international dialing it doesn't have anything about 6 digits or 7 digits.
Any suggestions why it doesn't work?
ok i tried, but for some reason it doesnt work.
here is the settings:
Site A, Location Code 400.
Site B, Location Code 310.
In IP Trunk table of Site A i have,
Site B, 8310, 172.18.1.200 (ip address of the actual site B)
in dialing Plan->Private Network i have the following settings:

You should check if the line goes near a power source, that might be causing interference to the line.
Also, check maybe the line cable is damaged somewhere.
If it is connected to a patch panel, it might be problem there.
I can think of many problems that can cause interference to the line...
well maybe you can setup the ringing on the phones to 0, maybe that will make it work.
It is really unusual request.
I dont think there is any option like that on the BCM, so you will have to check out the phones for this issue.
You can take a look at the configuration of the Target Lines, and it says if busy set it up to DND or whichever you want to use.
Tell me if you need more help.
Which code should ut go in the voip trunk routing?
And also is it possible to use 2 digit codes for the location code or it has to be 3?
So just tell me if I understand this right, if I choose 8, in the routing I put 8 as dialing code for voip trunks right?
If I understood wrong, can you give...
ok let me explain myself a little bit better.
What i want to do is to have the same extensions on each site.
You might ask why, in order to have same configuration on each site, for example, 2001-2050 Inside Sales department, 2051-2100 outside sale department etc.
This is why i want to make...
56BelAir, i want to chance CDP to UDP, because they will be adding few more BCMs to the network, and i can not use anymore CDP with 4 digit extensions, and they dont want to change to 5 digit extensions. :(
Anyhow, i need to find a way to do something before they decide to put the new BCMs...
The current DN ranges are 2001-2200 Site A, 3001-3200 Site B, 4001-4200 Site C, 5001-5200 Site D, 6001-6200 Site E.
I want to make each site to be with the range 2001-2200.
Please if you can provide example with UDP it will help me a lot.
Thanks
i know about using unique digits for each site.
I am managing at the moment 5 sites, and they all have unique digit, but the customer wants to add 4 more, and this is starting to complicate things.
Also, he wants to use location code and all to start with a same digit (2) and the length to be...
please give me example of which numbers to use in the VoIP trunks destination digit for each site, and what to put in Routing in order to use this destination codes between the sites.
Thank you in advance.
ok i tried that, but i didnt succeed. Can you please give me an example between 2 sites?
Lets say Site A, BCM 50, i want destination code 30
Site B, BCM 50, i want destination code 40
both sites have extensions 2001-2200.
Thank you in advance.
