Hello all, got a new BCM450 going in next month and the customer has an odd request. He has several employees that he wants to have headsets or cordless phones but he wants the phones to only ring in the employees ear not out loud. Then the employee can either answer or let the call go to voice mail. He doesn't want the noise associated with several cordless phones ringing out loud. I can't ever remember being called on to implement a setup like this.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

well maybe you can setup the ringing on the phones to 0, maybe that will make it work.

It is really unusual request.

I dont think there is any option like that on the BCM, so you will have to check out the phones for this issue.

Hello, didn't realize the T7406e offered vibrate mode so the best solution for this customer appears to be the T7406e in vibrate mode for silent alerting used in conjunction with the M214C headset.
Also the CS55 wireless headset with HL10 lifter offers remote ring detection that makes a chime in the users ear to alert them when out of earshot of telephone ringing. Hope this might help someone in the future. Thanks!

Yeah, the CS55 still needs ringing at the set; several times I've been called to look at a headset that doesn't ring only to have the set volume at minimum; if it's too low the HL10's mic doesn't pick it up...
