Restore / Copy 3300 configuration to different hardware

In the end I decided not even to export/import, and manually configure from scratch. I don't know much about the 3300 beyond setting up extensions and mailboxes, so this is the best way for me to learn, like you mentioned. Thanks to everyone who responded for the tips.

Restore / Copy 3300 configuration to different hardware

Well, in terms of IP sets, the MXe is licensed for 33 sets, the MX for 31. There is a big difference in VM licenses though, the MXe is licensed for 81, the MX for 12. I don't really care if all the sets or mailboxes are restored on the MX as it's really just for personal learning/testing...

Restore / Copy 3300 configuration to different hardware

I have a production 3300 MXe running 8.0.9.20. I just bought an older 3300 MX secondhand for testing/learning purposes for myself. This unit came with 9.0.3.15 installed on it. Can I backup the configuration on the MXe and restore it to the MX, or will this cause problems? If it isn't...

how can i program the tagg funcionality on the mitel 3300

There is an option if you don't want to reconfigure your data VLAN DHCP server. You mention you are running Extreme switches. If you are running a recent version of ExtremeOS, assuming your voice vlan 100 is named "VoiceVLAN" and the ports the phones are on are configured to be tagged members...

Personal key 13 on 5220 dual mode is always lit

To follow-up, it was indeed the LIM causing that key to light. They have unplugged the analog line from the LIM and like RossBC said, it assumed the line was offhook. Reconnecting the line did clear the light. Interestingly, after the line was reconnected, pushing button 13 to select the...

How do you change WAN IP address of Mitel Teleworker server

You should be able to fix this without changing anything on the 3300, assuming your TW server is also configured with a second internal facing NIC. If the Teleworker server's internal NIC/IP address can communicate with the internal NIC/IP address of the 3300 (ideally being in the same network...

Personal key 13 on 5220 dual mode is always lit

I was hoping to get out there tonight to try these suggestions, but that office is located inside of another building that closes at 6 PM and I didn't get up there. It might be for the better though, since JohnKeri might be on to something; those symptoms are exactly what the user...

    Possible to recover delete voicemail?

No, no daily full backup of the unit. A system to tombstone deleted VMs for a certain number of days would be a nice feature to have implemented, if it doesn't exist already.

    Possible to recover delete voicemail?

Didn't think so, but had to at least ask the question. Thanks!

Personal key 13 on 5220 dual mode is always lit

Pushing the superkey and then button 13 doesn't change the display at all. Pushing the superkey changes the display to say "Call Forwarding: Yes No" (as you'd expect) but pressing key 13 after that doesn't change the display any further. The light does survive a reboot of the phone.

    Possible to recover delete voicemail?

The boss deleted a voicemail today that is rather important. His voicemail is hosted on a 3300 MXe running 8.09.20. Is there any possibility of recovery?

Personal key 13 on 5220 dual mode is always lit

I have a user with a 5220 dual mode phone and the lamp for personal key 13 is always lit. The key is programmed as a standard speed dial, not a BLF/DSS. The phone is connected to an SX-200 ICP running 4.0.3.12 via a Teleworker server. Thanks in advance for any insight! -Bryan

    SX-200 ICP direct dial

I have a client with an SX-200 ICP CXi running version 4.0.3.12. It's set up like a shared line key system with 6 incoming analog lines from the telco. I would like to take all incoming calls from just one of those lines and send them directly to an extension or ring group. Is that possible...

    Can't change phone mac

I didn't try to delete the set and re-create it. I'm assuming that wouldn't have worked (though we know how that goes) since the error indicated both update and delete of the set would fail with it in use. All of the sets are served via DHCP.

    Can't change phone mac

Just to follow up, clearing the mailbox and the message indicator light did not resolve the error, but restarting the system did. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

    Can't change phone mac

Yeah, I was thinking that was what I was going to have to do. Thankfully the weekend is here and I can do it without disrupting too much business.

    Can't change phone mac

I've tried both ways, with the same result. Even trying to change the PIN gives me the same error.

    Can't change phone mac

I have a user with a 5220d on an SX-200 ICP running 4.0.3.12. The phone physically failed and needs to be replaced, something I've done many times. I don't normally bother with a PIN, I just change the phone MAC address in the Desktop Device Assignments form and give the user the new phone...

Does the SX-200 ICP support 5235 or 5240 sets?

I suspect you are right kwbMitel, and won't hold my breath. Thanks for the info.
