    Put new system together, Win XP install hangs

    I have seen a similar issue when drive jumpers were not correct, the bios detected thing ok but when the install got to trying to detect them it croaked, just hung. Video cards are always suspect, if you have another one, preferably a no frills, try it. hope this helps
