You are in the US aren't you BombayTelecom? I'm not, but i think there's differences between different countries wiring. And i think most these guys are in the USofA, that's why they assume you live just down the road from them. :)
Or are you in Bombay?
Hi everyone,
My company have just setup a bunch of new desks and installed Converse 1300 telephones on the desks. On the switch they're setup as 2500 types and won't allow CNDA (call party name display). They switch themselves back to denied whenever i set it to allow.
So i was wondering if...
Nope the list starts onscreen at ***539 and you cannot scroll back through the list to any earlier than that. And if you print the list then it only prints what is displayed onscren.
It's like there's a setting somewhere that dictates how much can be shown onscreen, and the IDC list is too long...
Hi all
I need to check if an extension is setup with a ddi number. I've been doing the following
LD 49
PRT
IDC
etc... and i get the list of DDi numbers and the extensions run through onscreen. Problem is that there are numbers from ***000 to ***999 in the list, yet the list only displays from...
Cheers John
I have copited the crash course to meridian programming now, that has tons of useful info, and will change it to keep it relevant to my company.
And thanks for the hint. You don't know how much i appreciate all this help.
Thanks
Tim
It's ok now!. I grew some balls and just tried what i put in the post before. All done now.
Thanks for all your help and i've just realised the one useful thing about otm. I can remote desktop to the server from my PC and use the switch through otm! :D
cheers
Tim
Thanks guys
My hatred of otm is growing from day to day. It was brought in so we'd have a GUI to use when they moved the telephone system over to the magic kingdoms I.T department. 1 day training on otm and off we go! So i'm trying to learn switch administration because otm is just plain naff -...
Hi all
I've found that after changing a users name on OTM that it didn't change on the switch? So i went into LD 95 and changed the name manually, but still the last users surname is being added onto the new users name?
For example the old user was called, say, Mickey Mouse. He left due to...
Thanks guys,
I don't login everyday, only when someone wants their ring type changed or a button setup on their phone that automatically rings the cubicle next to them. :)
I'm always a bit wary of changing the time now as i did change the time before by about 20 seconds, or some tiny tiny...
Hi all
I have a problem with our option 11 Meridian in that the time is always 3 minutes, almost exactly, faster than our domain controller. That syncs with an atomic clock somewhere.
Having spoken to BT engineers they tell me that our Meridian syncs with the BT Exchange at 2am, and the...
Thanks Wolfi
I'd already fiddled with the handset, swapped it with the one from the working console etc...
But i just went unplugged the power to the console, plugged it back in, unplugged the handset, plugged it back in, unplugged the console, plugged it back in, and did that repeatedly until...
Hi there
Our reception have a problem with one of their meridian consoles in that it will not come off of 'Nights'. If you unplug the power and then plug it back in then it changes to 'Busy'. I then found the screen on the connected computer that hadles incoming calls is saying 'PBX...
Quick question.
I have the procedure for settng up a DDI number to goto an extension, but i don't know how to remove a DDI number from an extension.
LD 49
Req:Chg
Type:idc
Cust:0
DCNO:3
Idgt (telephone number without area code. E.g: 768945)
System then returns
768945 (enter extension number...
Don't think i explained it very well...:D
I swapped the phone, and it worked, but had exactly the same problem as the other phone. Whichever 3905 i plug into that particular socket will have this strange # instead of the incbound calling lines name, sometimes. It seems to be something delaying...
