VM Pro and Avaya IP500 and no Avaya VM prompts

...for etc. If running vmpro on an application server, enable debug logging and look at the created log files. Oddly enough, just doing a rename of *.opus to *.wav made everything work. I backed up the directory before making the changes, but just renaming the files and not converting them...

    J179 with Ingate SBC

Gentlemen, Has anyone had success setting up J179 remote phones utilizing an Ingate SBC? I can successfully register the phone and make calls, but no programmed buttons (other than 3 call appearances) appear and buttons such as the voicemail button don't work. This is a Server Edition Release...

    User template for avaya ipo

MoJHK You can use a template in Web Manager as well. Go to a user that's already created and at the bottom you'll see Save as Template. Save this as the template format. Now go to Call Management / Users ... Top Right of screen you see "Actions". Click that and then choose "Create from...

Voicemail disabled for user but bridged appearance can STILL send 'direct to voicemail'

Is this Essential Edition or Preferred Edition? If it's Preferred Edition (Voicemail Pro) couldn't the leave action be manipulated with drop call to prohibit a message from being left?

Upgrading a Server Ed 9.1 to R11 License question

I always rehost them to the WebLM.

    Xima Chronicall Recording

Had an issue much like this. The problem turned out to be a carrier issue. They said they were NI2 and they were locally, but upstream the were set as 5ESS. Everything n my brain said it shouldn't work period, but it worked, yet wouldn't record the calls the majority of the time. After...

    Can't Connect to System

I had this same problem on this release. It was something flaky. The correct version of manager would not open it up. Rel 10 manager that didn't match at all, had no problem opening the configuration.

Multi-site server edition architecture sanity check

If you use a weblm server all licenses are centralized. They could be centralized now, but without knowing more it's impossible to say. Another piece of the puzzle will be if it's ADI licensing or PLDS licensing. If it's PLDS, you could move the license yourself.

    Server Editionsecurity reset command line

You can erase all security settings from the CLI if you're connected locally, but not via SSH that I've found. Locally you can do the following: Login as Administrator Enter - /opt/Avaya/clish (This gives you the Avaya CLI) Enter - admin Login as root You'll get Admin> prompt Enter - root...

Remote Phone Audio Only Working on Inbound Calls

It doesn't look like anyone wants to touch on this one. Talk path issues with IP phone will almost always have to do with network routing (I could argue always). The fact that inbound calls work but outbound calls don't sounds like your firewall is seeing the change in packet IP addresses as...

    Retain or Replace

Check your settings in Manager. In Manager, go to File / Preferences. Near the bottom you will see Consolidate Solution to Primary Settings with a check box. In your situation, I'm betting it's checked. Remove the check and the message will be no more. Click help and check out the...

    Xima Call Recording over SCN

What release is your IP Office SCN? How are your SCN trunks set (Proprietary / WebSocket)? Is your voicemail server running in Windows or Linux? IMO, the issue isn't going to be with Xima as it's not actually doing the recording, VMPro is.

Avaya IP Office Server Edition - 10.0.0.5 build 3

Intigrant. Showed some love with the pink because I totally agree with your statement. Everything continues to evolve and it's not always a bug if it doesn't work the way it use to. I'm the first to admit that sometimes Avaya drops the ball on documenting the nuances we find, but that doesn't...

Clients wants 5th call to play busy signal on PRI with AA/VMpro

You can actually accomplish this without playing a recording. Let the IP Office do the work. Send it to a hunt group without voicemail and queuing enabled. Adjust the Queue Length to match the number of calls. Once the length is met, they get a busy signal.

    It's still sitting with Avaya's R&D.

IP Office and SIP connection to IVR doesn't work.

I'm currently working with Avaya Tier 4 and the development team on this. Hopefully there will be a patch soon. I've requested the patch based on the latest build. I'll update you on any progress. Utilizing SIP trunks as opposed to endpoints supports some, but not all features (blind...

IP Office and SIP connection to IVR doesn't work.

Intrigrant, I was reading it the other way, but I see what you're saying. I'm going to do some more wire shark traces and dig deeper into that. Thanks! HSM. The endpoints are just IVR ports. On the trunk scenario I can't change anything, on the SIP extension scenario I just have my...

External MOH on Server and SCN R9.0.2

I have it working at a customers site. Please clarify how you have the MOH configured on the server and how you have it configured on the IP500's. As a side note, why are your IP phones registering to the Server? Are they registering to a primary or secondary? As I recall an IP500 can...
