    The result of testing this was that the SL set plugged into the aux port can transfer calls to extensions, but does not work for direct VM transfer, using # 14. The limitation is that there is no way to access the feature key. This is for rel 7.0

    Check your Xfer Callback in System-Features. Set the ring amount to equal rings in CFNA. Also, check the DRT to Prime and delay. I always set the ring amounts to be equal (all usually 4). If one is greater (the manuals differ on this) you get problems like yours.

    I have been to Nortel schools in Richardson and in or near Buena Park, CA. The schools are the best with the best teachers. The questions you posed are answered mostly from experience, so go for it.

    Display caller ID

    There is a lot of confusion about CID. If you already have incoming CID when picking up handset, you might not need to do any programming. The incoming CID appears after 2 rings on Norstar AND ONLY IF caller has CID. If caller has no CID nothing appears.

    DRT to prime is a system wide transfer to voicemail. CF is extension by extension. I usually set each the same (4 works good). The manual reads one number must be higher than the other to work properly (which is correct). But this way "fools" the system by 1/2 a ring, and is easier to remember...
