On another note; I could not get the MICSs,Gateways,DID combinations to work with services cards in the MICSs. I had to use E&M/DISA cards to get DTMF receivers. The gateway lines were still connected to LS/DS cards set to auto answer. The E&M lines? portion is not connected to anything.
Did you put "wait for dial tone" (D) into the gateway "digit delivery table". When watching the receiving gateway lights the incoming line should pick up (light up) and then go dark (waiting for dial tone?) then pick up (light up) and dial the digits into the trunk.
Sounds like Sys A is not passing the digits along to Sys B. On CICS A is the absorb digits set to 0. If it is "all" then it only sends the digits that are not part of the destination code.
We have the same situation and have learned to live with it. A solution would be welcome. We made the gateway provide ring back until the KSU takes over so the calling party would not hear 10 seconds of dead air.
Increased public DN for default prefix by 1, no difference. Made it 11 no difference.(other than a longer connect time). The seven digits are sent and the number is dialed, voicemail voice answers and the mailbox number is automatically dialed into the voicemail system. The # sign is not sent...
We have moved from CallPilot to a external 3rd party voicemail. CFNA after 4 goes over PRI to external V-Mail like so. 91234567F78F785555#. It seems that the PRI interprets the # sign as the "end of the string" as the # is never sent. The 5555 is sent and I can manually dial the # to send the...
I have never done a software interface if that is what you are looking for.
I do it this way:
External paging amp usually has more than one input. Buy a bell tone generator and connect to the amp. Bell system (computer)needs contact to activate bell tone generator which "pages" bell tone.
The...
we are having similar problems with our voip gateway to ITG link using G.729. 1st call is broken up. Second call is okay. When we look in channel status of the gateway I see that the ITG is sending recieve silence.
Does turning off VAD on the Option 11 and turning off silence supression on the...
Mitelman;
I always listen and smile when Telus and Nortel give me these "pat" answers that make me nervous.
It makes us pause before buying anymore VOIP product product from them.
If you have extra (junk?) phones you can:
Program phone to be in a seperate page zone (2?) and tap into the phone speaker to drive a paging amp. We use this on several sites (with up to 6 zones) and it works remarkably well.
This kind of information is why I keep coming back to this forum.
Telus and Nortel have both told me that: They have hardened the NT kernal? so that no virus could affect it.
However this fall we had our VOIP network (M1 ITG, 4 BCM) exibit signs of virus-like activity. When we unplugged the...
I have not used OCTEL Vmail before but; In another 3rd party voicemail (Revere) they installed Dialogic cards which actually simulate a Nortel 7310 telephone and use a digital port not analogue. It worked OK for basic voicemail. It did not stand up well to heavy use of Auto attendant.
From what I can see:
If I am using the modified Outlook or Lotus POP3 client (and do the convert for external addresss) and I send a .vbk file to another non-CallPilot address it does convert to a .wav file. The conversion takes place within the Outlook or Lotus client. "CallPilot Message Store"...
