    Restore from failed backup

    pmwut5, Did you send multiple streams, multiplexing, to the tape at the same time? Stumpr, I was under the impression that if this is done then restores using the tar file provided by Veritas will not work. Can anyone verify this for me?

    It may be worth, if your investigating everyone, looking at Legato also. MS uses them for the Hotmail backup internally and I have had as good an experience with them as with Veritas, better in some cases. Just my 0.02 Cheers
