Wanting to document an error I encountered with my BCM450 r6 that I resolved.
The problem is more or less exactly the same as was experienced by this user and reported on tek-tips in this thread.

Started having trouble with my VM system and decided that I should replace the hard drive on my BCM450 r6 with latest (2014) patches.
I tried a Crucial M4 (256GB) drive and it worked in my system.
Crucial m4 SSD 2.5
256GB SATA 6Gb/s

So I found out today from ITEL that
My RCC5 was running on Server 2008 x64 and I wanted to upgrade to 2012 R2. So after running through three levels of in-place upgrade to get to that platform I ended up with an invalid keycode warning because my site ID had changed.
I run RCC as a virtual...
A couple years ago I was rejected on a BCM50 when I gave a vendor a 12 digital station seat when I already had 8 installed. So I agree with above poster that it will actually reject a code that results in an over-provisioning.
I had the same problem. In my case it started when I was using a Y power cable to clean up my wiring. Very frustrating problem to troubleshoot because I never thought it would be the cable.

This may actually be your system. I bought it as an open box BCM400-to-BCM450 upgrade kit from Techforless about 3 years ago. Sat on a shelf until I tried to actually use it.
1. Upgrade code was invalid (already used)
2. Site ID had to be reset because it already had keycodes on it
I guess...
You can set a distinct ring pattern for that hunt group. When a call to the hunt group is made, all the member phones will ring distinctly.
That setting is on the Hunt Group grid towards the right side.
Are you signed in as nnadmin or otherwise have enough admin rights?
Can you change the other settings?
What version of BCM are you on? (1,2,3,4,5 or 6)?
You can try this.

Go to the DN setting, scroll down until you find DN #2476 and change it to 1170.
So each hunt group has an extension number which is also called a DN number.
If you look in the "Grid" of hunt groups you will see a column called DN. That is where you assign the extension number to the hunt group. In other words, the DN is the Hunt Group's extension #. If you click into...
Hunt Groups are made in the Element Manager which is a Java based software program. Voicemail and other apps are managed through the web interface.
Have you used that Element manager software before? Because that is where you start.
Pretty weird problem here. I think I've got it isolated down to the mainboard but I really can't afford to replace it so I want to get a second opinion.
Problem: Any module in slot #4 will not provision/work.
1. Known-good DTM, DSM32+, ASM8+ put in slot #4 do not work.
2. Any other slot it...
