I've a situation that probably has been encountered by others as well. We are using contact closure to control door lock with buzzer. The issue arises when two or more employees press the button at the same time, which turns the closure back off. We have had training after training to teach...
Just from my past experience, it might be worth mentioning to your users that once they are finished reviewing calls they need to press the CID button again to turn the feature off. I can't tell you how many complaints I have received about phones "not working properly" when all they need to do...
1. What kind of radios are you talking about? Commercial? FRS? GMRS?
2. Are you wanting to duplicate existing overhead pages? Or are the radios going to be a separate/the only source of paging?
Point to consider: when you start mixing telephone and radio, you get into FCC rules that...
I did change the ringtone and of course it has its own button, but some people are just technologically illiterate I guess. I have 3 employees that still don't recognize the difference between an internal, outside, or transferred call (after multiple training sessions). They will look at the...
I created a loop around from Ext. 15 to CO5, in order to allow a door phone to ring continuously instead of a single ding-dong. It works fine, except I'm wondering if there is a way to pass the INTERNAL extensions's caller ID through to the CO port so it will display on all the phones with that...
Also... I'm sure you've already mentioned this to your customer, but consider that if you are transferring outside callers to an ext. with RCF...obviously it will take up an additional CO line. In a system with only a few CO lines, this could cause a problem as it did for me - NO free lines...
YES it does work... and you don't have to have the phone plugged in. I use several non-existent extensions that don't even have ports at the switch. As Mike said, when the power goes out, you will have to reactivate the call forward for each of those extensions. Also, I have setup (under...
You might want to check the battery on the unit and replace with fresh ones. Also check if you have a Remote Access Card. If you do, you can backup your programming to the card in case it does get reset again.
Try dialing 9 and see if you get an outside line. It's possible the config may have been reset to factory defaults. Can you receive any incoming calls?
Going to try to pick up an adapter today to download it. Apparently I also have a bad Remote Access card.. as it would never connect. I'll post config as soon as I have it. Thanks!
Just double checked it now - only 78 and 79. I'm in the process of re-building a new config under PC Admin and will upload that to see if it helps. Much easier than via the phone!
4 lines, PVM PC Card (large). It's definitely being answered by the AA message and not a mailbox. As for which line and other calls in progress, not sure since the callers don't always tell us the same day it happens. Occasionally the caller has remained on the line long enough for it to ring...
