It is not meant to be secured, it's just a matter of the people accessing not being able to see the login.
Most posters here probably work in the private sector where everyone in the world can see their stuff. This is limited to a management team.
I'd rather not use an Iframe because the...
Viewsource gives you :
<script language=JavaScript>m='%3C%21--%23%23%23%23%...TO%20CGISCRIPT.NET.--%3E';
d=unescape(m);document.write(d);</script>
And everyone here uses an identically customized Ie 6.0 so if it does not work on my pc, it won't work on anyone's pc.
This is for the upper...
Oops, slight error there as I am testing, onclick only contains :
onclick="this.href='http://domain.prv/reports/OnLine/1.rpt
Which appears to be what opens up. This means I get a login prompt for the database instead of logging in using the href information.

Hi,
I know there are a few threads on this but even though they helped me some, I am still running into some difficulty.
A bit of background. I am linking a Crystal Report file via a URL. This file has to be live meaning it has to login to a database so my URL contains both the login and...
Ok, how about managed reports then through CE10. It's all the same to me as all reports go to an unmanaged disk to which I point the URL. I uncheck 'Don't prompt the user for a database login' and next thing I know, I open the link and hit refresh, blam it asks for a login. I need actual live...
Hi there, this is on CR10 using either Oracle/Sybase/Remedy ODBC.
I have a number of reports that I would like to be unmanaged. I of course mean I just FTP the .rpt file (saved without data) to a website. This is not a report with parameters but some might contain subreports. I do not want...
Thanks for the reply and the tip from Turkbear.
I ended up telling them to ghost the server and rescheduling everything.
I'm bitter as it is hard for me to get anything moving here as they won't give me access to the server even though they are having people do the work for me who are...
I have been reading up and this is a confusing issue... I am trying to use :
http://srmis.prv/srmis_reports/OnLine/transformation.rpt&user0@TransformationServiceComponent=*******&password0@TransformationServiceComponent=*******
but it does not work, isn't that the way it should look for an...
Ok... so I fixed this by changing the database connect to Oracle from ODBC which I've never had to do before.
The problem now is that I need this report to be live. I unchecked the box saying 'Prompt user for database login' which as per the BO tech support should allow them to refresh but it...
Hi,
I am having a hard time with a report. I am running it using an Oracle ODBC on CR10. I can run the report without any problem from Crystal Report. I can FTP it to the server where they run and run it from there including refreshing with a login. I can also preview it and refresh from CE...
Oh, while on the print time subject. If I cannot link my 2 views... how do I pass the data to a subreport to chart when there are 2 main reports?
It's hard to wrap my head around it when I only have a couple of hours to get it working.
Phil
Hi,
This is on Crystal 10 using Oracle ODBC.
I was asked to get a chart ready for this afternoon showing some 2 numbers on it. The numbers are from different tables that I cannot link properly so I had to get the numbers from subreports. I shared both my numbers and placed them in the main...
The encode is needed to send the information as text to my message in Outlook. Otherwise it attachs it and in there it still doesn't show the accents correctly.
Document.writing I'm a bit embarrased to say I do not know what it does. It might be because the text appears in a second form to...
Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to get french accents to appear correctly when data is forwarded to an Outlook message.
I will explain as best I can. We use a web form when our ticketing system is down where the help desk staff can fill in tickets and then mail it to their mailbox. What...
