Hi,

This is on Crystal 10 using Oracle ODBC.

I was asked to get a chart ready for this afternoon showing some 2 numbers on it. The numbers are from different tables that I cannot link properly so I had to get the numbers from subreports. I shared both my numbers and placed them in the main report. I see them there but cannot chart as the main report has no database view selected because I do nothing in the main report but show results from the subreports.

What I would like to know is how do I chart off the 2 formulas? Now, these might be print time formulas but I have no error message saying so, all the numbers are are sums of 6 fields together giving a grand total and that is what is shared.

My subreport formulas are as follow :
shared numbervar total;
total := (Sum ({TRANSFORMATION_SERVICE_COMPONE.FTE_CCSO})+
Sum ({TRANSFORMATION_SERVICE_COMPONE.FTE_CSO})+
Sum ({TRANSFORMATION_SERVICE_COMPONE.FTE_OPERATIONS})+
Sum ({TRANSFORMATION_SERVICE_COMPONE.FTE_REGIONAL_IT_SERVICES})+
Sum ({TRANSFORMATION_SERVICE_COMPONE.FTE_TSD}) +
Sum ({TRANSFORMATION_SERVICE_COMPONE.FTE_IM}) );

Main report formula :
Shared numberVar Total;
Total

Thanks in advance,
Phil

Oh, while on the print time subject. If I cannot link my 2 views... how do I pass the data to a subreport to chart when there are 2 main reports?

It's hard to wrap my head around it when I only have a couple of hours to get it working.

Phil
