Hi,

I have a 2 LIM system BC11.

I had both my HDU's go bad and my dumps started failing. I have replaced the HDU's and rebuilt the filesystem but I am still getting a buffer error. Here are the results.

Do I have a problem with my NIU?
I have done a PCREGEN but if my power dies my system will be toast.
Please let me know if I need to provide any additional info!

Thanks!

first restart NIP,FIP and TWP3 in LIM 1.

try to dump again.

second thing to try again is to pull out/put back in the DSU board LIM 1 mag 0.

what is the result of these printouts?

Hi Daddy!

Forgive me for being a dangerous beginner. Will I have any problems running rfpui with my system in this state?

rfPUI:UNIT=NIP,FIP,TWP3,LIM=1;

Here are the printouts.

A just a few changes. If I could just remember them! Will I lose them if I RFPUI?

a data reload is always possible, yes.

It's up to you to take the risk, but having a PC-regen backup helps is a big advantage, so I would go ahead.

Heck, I will go for it. I will do it tonight in case I need to do some rebuilding. I will let you know!

Thanks!

Did you try to restart DRDH, DRDM, DRLM and DRLH?

RFPUI:UNIT=,LIM=1;

This helped me out a couple of times.

Hey Daddy,

I gave it a try. Restarted NIP,FIP and TWP3 with no luck. Pulled the DSU and reseated it with the same results.

I also tried doktor's advice and restarted DRDH, DRDM, DRLM and DRLH with no luck.

Any thing else we can try?

Thanks!

mmm, it's the unit copy that is failing, even before the dump starts.

please post CNPIP:UNIT=DOM;

ok, so the PBX can't copy the unit data of DOM to LIM2 for some reason.

first try to restart the unit DOM in lim1 and see what it does.

dugdstew1!

I guess that this 2LIM system has been working well for years, before this fault occurred?
What happenede just before the fault was observed?

We have from time to time issues with "electrician" tha cut the common grounding to an MD110/MX-One, or just swap the power feeding to come from another transformer or electrical supply.

In all these cases, I would have liked to knoe "what happened just before".

Are the 2 LIMs in the same room or building?
Do the share a common grounding?
Has anyone fifled with this grounding or power supply.

The link between the 2 LIMs - did you chack it for faults?

Hope that this can help you out of this issue!!
