This PC is brand new, out of the box. It's configured with RAID 1, and I installed XP myself. Install/RAID config went off without a hitch, and now I'm installing my MoBo drivers. Everytime I attempt to restart, the machine hangs at the "Windows is shutting down" screen, and also at the "Windows is starting up" screen. It does eventually shut down/start up, but it generally takes about 15-20 minutes to do so. Brand new PC, hasn't even been on a network yet, so it can't be virus related. This problem happened from the very first Windows logon/logoff. I do believe I had this problem before, and can't remember for the life of me what the fix was. Thought maybe something in the BIOS, but not sure. Figured I'd ask the best of the best here on Tek Tips... :-D
