Im scratching my head. I have a fax machine that when the user dials out the full number the system sends it aar over IP trunks but if the same user dial the full number from there digital phone it goes out the PRI. Is there something I am missing?

I wonder if the fax is inserting or deleting some digits. I have some that can. Other than that it may be COR/COS related. Set the digital set up with the same COR/COS and see if it still routes out the same way.

I tried setting the cor and cos the same on 3 phones but to no avail

Have you done a 'list trace station xxxx' on the fax machine extension to see if its inserting or deleting digits?

Its putting in just the udp entry and sending it over the Ip trunks. I never see the full number. This is at a differnt site than I am at but I can hear more than our 5 digit dial plan being dialed but only see the 5 digits in the trace

If they are a different site they might be a different location (as in display locations) as well and they might use a different ARS Digit Conversion table than you are.

Regards

Frank

Nothing in digit conversion table and multiple locations not turned on in pbx

Two things you can check:

Tenant number of both phones, it's on the station form under: TN:

Check to see if the Fax machine is automatically programmed to dial 9 or some other number, hotline or ARS code...

Do the list trace station xxxx on both the fax and the phone then dial the number from each - and if that dosen't tell you what the issue could be paste the results from both traces so we can look at it...

You can take a single line phone and plug into the fax line. Then place a call and see how it routes out. If it routes like it should, then you know it has to be the fax programming.

I am at a differnt site but will get someone to connect an analog phone and do a trace and see what I get

The "9" wasn't captured on the first extension x63914. If it's being dialed maybe the "9" key is stuck or broken, or you may need to pause briefly and make sure you have dialtone before dialing:

x63914
12:29:25 dial 13213 route:UDP|AAR = [no "9" was dialed]

x63655
12:44:30 dial 91312751 route:pREFIX|FNPA|ARS

do a change station 63914 and check there is not an entry in the hotline feature on page 3 and see if it is looking at a speed dial list
Thanks
