I am setting up least cost routing from BCM50 to M1. I have turned on messsging on the M1, I see the digits that are being dialed fromthe BCM, but I get a pause then fast busy after dialing the full number. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sending the 9 to the M1? Have you changed your public prefixes to reflect the 9? for example, prefix default is 7 digits, or 10 digits depending on how many numbers you have to dial for a local call. If you're sending the 9 to the M1, then you'll only get 6 digits after the 9 before the BCM sends the call. Change prefix default to 8 or 11, and try that. You may need to change the prefixes for LD and international as well.

yes I have changed all of that, when the digits get to the M1, I see let me give an example:

DCH 0 IMSG SETUP REF 00008001 CH 2 23 TOD 10:47:46
FEAT :NAS
CALLING #:5408988500 NUM PLAN: E164/NATIONAL (NPA)
CALLED #:5383577 NUM PLAN: E164/NATIONAL (NPA)

this is what I get on the M1, Even when I send a 9 across I still get a busy.

1. NRS at M1 site
2. H323 or SIP trunks on M1
3. M1 setup as gateway endpoint on NRS
4. Routing entries for M1 on NRS
5. CDP on M1 that include BCM50 DNs
6. BCM50 setup as gateway endpoint on NRS
7. Routing entries for BCM50 on NRS
8. Config BCM50 for H323 or SIP Trunks
9. Verify BCM50 registered to NRS
10. Build Routes & Calling plan on BCM50 to access VOIP Lines

Make calls!

Obviously there is a LOT of setup involved in each of those steps, if you need help with any of those steps, let us know.

Your not doing Network calling?

Well, scratch my post then! :)

Please assist what is the process on the M1

How do you want the calls routed between the 2 systems?

Through PSTN (PRI) or Network (SIP/H323 Trunks)?

Is the BCM a local or LD call from the M1?

When you make a local call, can u use 7 digits or is the full 10 digits required?

Looks like you need to say yes to INAC on the route in the PBX. This will automatically insert the BARS access code in front of any number that is not CDP or UDP dialing numbers.

The Bcm50 is long distance, but I am using a a Tie trucnk through Microwave to connect these systems together.

Also changed the INAC to yes, and that didn't make any difference.

What status are your channels in?

I've never networked a BCM50 to M1 before, only M1 to M1, honestly I'm not sure if it even works, but I'll do what I can to help.

As you can see everything is up I have the voice mail working, I can do internal dialing, but I cant do external long distance over the tie

So you can call from system to system you just can not use 1 to go out another?

You have the trunk NCOS set to 30, can an NCOS 30 dial off the Option?????

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
