Hi,

I've got a task involving printing on various cards that don't have much to do with few paper sizes taken from US standards that VFP's Print Setup dialog offers in its Size list. Is there a way to set report's size manually in mm?

You can set the size to anything you like (well Just about anything)

Kimed,

To change the scale to mm, go to the Format menu in the report designer, and choose Set Grid Scale.(This applies to VFP 8.0 and earlier.)

However, that won't necessarily let you set up a custom page size.

To do that, you need to go into your printer driver's properties and set up a non-standard size. The method varies according to the make and model of printer. For example, on my HP Laserjet, I go to Printing Preferences / Paper & Quality, then click the Custom button, then enter the dimensions of the page. At that point, you also give the size a name.

Once you've done all that, you go into Page Setup in the VFP report designer and choose the printer. The drop-down list showing the page sizes should now contain the one that you set in the printer properties.

Does that answer your question?

Mike
