Well, it's that time again...The previous thread exceeds 100 posts (and is rather slow to load). This means we're well over 1,200 posts for the "Vanity Plates" concept.

I'll start this thread off with this one seen on a pickup truck, driven by an attractive young Utah hunter/outdoorswoman. The plate, I'm certain, refers to the mechanism that was holding two scoped rifles in the back window of the truck:

Took a second or two to get this one, but laughed out loud when I did...

MUGL BRN

Is that a Harry Potter reference?

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Yes, it's a Harry Potter reference.
Muggle Born
I guess if you haven't read the books or seen the movies it doesn't make much sense. We're a family full of Harry Potter fans.

Don't know. I've only heard it in reference to Harry Potter.

I just saw a great one on a big Winnebago. It made no sense until I read the license plate frame. This license was...

FAKAWI

The top of the frame said "WHERE THE", and the bottom had "??????".

Clever way to get it past the license plate censors.

Saw this yesterday in Massachusetts and by the way he drove, he probably was:

DUMAS5

Of course if this you and your name is Dumas I apologize!!

Sam

On a silver Mustang...
IFLYDOU
Obviously not a reference to the owner's driving speed, since I passed this car on the interstate.

Saw this on a Kia this morning
[blue]HMSTRPWR[/blue]

The tag holder has a scrolling message at the bottom.
I couldn't get close enough to read it carefully, but it said either
[red]POWERED BY A HAMSTER[/red] or
[red]PASSED BY A HAMSTER[/red]

The original name of the F-Troop Indian tribe was "Fugawi". Never made it past the censors.

Saw this over the weekend...
WATEVR

Saw this on a Miata on the drive in this morning...
ALCHEMY

The best I've seen lately was on a black Mustang: MDNT MSL. I still haven't figured out whether it's "missile" or "muscle" though.

This one made me a bit covetous:

[ JAG V12 ]

Candy Apple Red and very shiney

@SamBones ..... I'm only glad I don't have a Cockney (London, UK) accent :)
What was it on by the way ?

<Do I need A Signature or will an X do?>

Saw this yesterday...
BEEHIVE - I wasn't able to get a good look at the driver to see if that plate referred to her hairdo.

On the freeway this morning:

ZMNYDGS

My best guess is:
See Many Dogs (a veterinarian?)

Regarding ZMNYDGS, it could also be that 2MNYDGS was already taken.
