It's time again for a new thread for the most popular Tek-Tips topic ever.

How do you like this ironic plate?:

Oddly enough, its what my parents still call the program no matter how many times I correct them. (I gave up awhile back)

I've quickly found that with many people I've helped with their computers to just interpret their words in my mind, and otherwise ignore them. [wink] In some cases, I'll just adapt my language to match theirs, and we get to the bottom of their issues much sooner.

Wow! That's some memory you got! [wink]

I saw PLAYGRL today. What cracked me up was it was on a big old SUV with child type stickers on it, not some sexy sports car.

I managed to make this one out amidst the road spray on the highway this morning...
GOOM XI - Any ideas? The first thing that popped into my head was this person is a CG (computer geek) that uses version 11 of some software package called GOOM. Of course, I'm a CG as well who is currently developing in CR XI, but I'm not about to put that on a vanity plate to advertise my level of geekitude. [tongue]

Saw this one on a Mustang on the drive home...

Hi,

A Subaru Impreza had:

IMPRZV

( The only thing impressive was his disregard of the speed limit.)

On a SUV:

ARSNL1

Which could mean the driver is a fan of English football or,
since this is in Arizona where being armed is nearly mandatory, that it is just 1 of his storehouses.

I might be "hatin'," but not for the reason he's thinking.

Pretty self-explanatory.

Another explanation for PUGs dates to today's online gaming culture. PUG is used to define either a group of random people or a random person your group picks up to fill out the team. It is most commonly used for MMOs and stands for 'Pick Up Group'.
Maybe she is just an avid gamer. =)

Could the NOPLATE issue work in one's favour by use of a zero in place of the Oh? Thus the DMV would have you as N0PLATE, but when you got written up, the LEO would have NOPLATE, and you'd never get the citation.

I don't know what the rules in all states may be, but in Louisiana, you can't do that:
Code:
What you cannot request on a personalized license plate:
Ham radio call signs
3 letters followed by 3 numbers
Special symbols such as #, @, %, &, etc.
Duplicate of active personalized plates
More than 7 letters and/or numbers (6 on a motorcycle plate)
Ethnic, racial, vulgar, or indecent connotations which may be offensive to good taste and decency
A patented logo
[b]The number one substituted for the letter I or the number zero for the letter O[/b]
