I saw this one over the weekend...
THANKS - I'm not sure who he was thanking, but I thought it was a nice, polite vanity plate.

GMAWMA
I was thinking, "Great Grandma" since MawMa is often used for grandma in the south (US) or "Gee, Grandma."

This morning on a new Chevy Suburban:

I'd like to change the world, but I can't find the source code.

@MadMichael:
Do you suppose they "Tweet" on Twitter or was the Beetle a pale yellow akin to Tweetie-bird? [smile]

Sadly, I haven't noticed any vanity plates here in town unique enough to post. [neutral]

Saw this last night on a black Ferarri convertible...

WU*WHEE

(The asterisk is where the little Hand symbol was)

Seen on a one litre sport bike (Suzuki GSXR1000) this morning...

H8 SLOW

BLKKAT

on the Jaguar XJ parked next to my car yesterday. Guess what color it was.

I saw this missplaced vanity plate on a Chrysler Sebring...
ZIP
I think it would've made more sense on the Corvette parked next to it.

Well, at least some of the older models of Sebrings felt like they were going "ZIP" when you drove them. Or was it called something else first, I forget. Regardless of the name, that vehicle really did seem to zip. Of course, the last time I rode in one, I was probably only 14 or 15 at absolute oldest.

Well, it is huge if you compare it to the car just to the left of it...the one attached to the shopping cart.

FYI: The Smart Car isn't electric - it's just tiny.

On the way in to work this morning, I saw

On an Oldsmobile:
MYHUPTE
I will be darned if I can figure that one that.

MYHUPTE is a variation on "My Hooptie"...it's a song by Sir-Mix-A-Lot. I think the phrase refers to an old tricked out car.

Ahhh. Thank you for the translation.
I only know of one song by Sir-Mix-A-Lot.
The car didn't look tricked out so it must have been under the hood.

I've also heard hooptie used to describe POS cars that were not 'tricked out'.

I've also heard the same mostly as anotherhiggins on hooptie. Perhaps it's a locale thing?
