At well over 100 posts in thread1256-1530355, it's probably time for yet another thread in the apparently Waaay Popular Vanity Plates series.

Here's a rather scary one:

So, he/she's a Yoda fan, and believe in the Golden Rule?

Good call on the Yoda fan...I never even made that connection. I just thought he/she was religious.

I took it to mean an implied "I'm" - I am forgiven. Are you?

In which case I would answer "yes" but probably not by the one the license plate holder meant. ;-)

But the Yoda way is more fun so maybe I'll just go with that anyway.

@kjv
Excellent, is your analysis.

Yeah, I suppose that one could be either way.. just depends on the person, and their mood when they picked the tag. [smile]

@Santa
Right, you are.

Awhile back I mentioned the plate DABLUOX. I saw it again today, and I was mistake about the vehicle it was on. It is indeed on a large blue Dodge Ram 4x4. That does make the plate's meaning rather clear.

This morning I saw a couple new ones:
TOD N 3
PAYNUS

While PAYNUS is probably intended as "Payin us", the guy was driving like a jerk and that was not the first interpretation that came to mind.

Last weekend I saw an orange-ish yellow Porsche 911 with the plate...

JAUNDC

Also saw another car with the plate...

CHUB RUB

A masseuse that works on fat people? An obscure reference to self gratification? Those are the two we came up with. What do you think?

CHUB RUB.

There is a small fish called a chub. Maybe they have a spicy rub for the chubs.

Or, they rub the chubs over themselves.

Saw a few recently:

LUV PAT
PRA 1ST
MYMAMMY

__________
Veni, Vidi, Visa: I came, I saw, I charged it.

I was behind a new Nissan 350 Z the other day, that had:

ZMEGOBY

Chip H.

MYMAMMY just reminds me of the movie Transformers:
"Son, I'm a lot of things, but a liar's not one of them.
Especially not in front of my mammy. That's my mammy. Hey, Mammy!"

Or, it could also an obscure cancer screening reference.

Or an Al Jolson reference (I'm not that old...)

There's another one I see frequently as we drive the same stretch of road each day, around the same time.

TRE BIEN

The plate does NOT apply to her driving skill.

At the beach this week (hello from my phone).

On the way down to Topsail Island, I saw
[tab]GOIN1061

Anyone got any guesses on that one?

Police code "10-61" is for miscellaneous public service. Not sure how that applies...

When I was a courier for a while we would use 10-61 to tell dispatch we were on lunch break.

There is a whole list of radio 10-codes, with perhaps the most recognized being 10-4. 10-61 is often used, just as Lee did above, to announce that you're taking your lunch break.

Maybe "miscellaneous public service" means they're going to boost the local economy at Taco Bell. [smile]
