Another gold-"plated" milestone...We're starting our Lucky 13th Vanity Plates thread (since our previous thread has exceeded 100 posts and is slow in loading).

Over Spring Break we travelled from Utah to Phoenix (via Las Vegas)...Saw these great plates/tags:

Code:
[b]SLZBAG[/B] (On an Arizona Ford SUV)

[b]JAGROAR[/B] (On an Arizona Jaguar Sovereign)

[b]SSAFLAH[/B] (On a Nevada car which I didn't get until I read it in my rear-view mirror)

A friend of mine recently got plates for his new Dodge Charger: TIEVOM. It is intended for the driver in front of him.

It should have been TI3VOM.

Saw this one and it seemed a little more creepy than funny...

Holden Commodore?!? YEH 88Y?!?

This yank doesn't get it.

(I've only seen the Holden Commodore in the game Gran Turismo).

Well, he apparently thinks his car is "da biznis"!

Yeah, baby!!

I just saw a story on the local news about a 16 year old who took his mom's yellow Corvette out on a joy ride. He ended up crashing it into a utility pole. The news showed a picture of the wreck, including a shot of the vanity plate...

A few I've seen recently...

4 HORDE - World of Warcraft fan?
SUKONTH - Wonder how he got this past the censors.

I imagine he pronounces it with a trailing "IS".

I'm thinking this is a fan of the movie "Slingblade".

Saw this over the weekend. Though the use of Arabic (is that the right word?) and Roman numbers was interesting

JHN 3 XVI

For those of you who have never seen a ball game (from the USA) it is John 3:16.

Yes, Arabic is the correct word. The '3' is an Arabic numeral.

I think perhaps the reason you see the mix is that you would not be able to fit the entire reference with Roman numerals ( JHN III XVI ). Nor could you use just Arabic numerals ( JHN 316 ) because that's a standard three letter three digit license place and may already be used.
