We are looking to upgrade from 8.0 UR4 (due to various issues) but are unsure if we should go to 8.0 UR5 or 9.0. If anyone has any advice that would be great.

I would not recommend to become a ginnie pig for thesting 9.0. For production environment I'd wait at least till UR1. If you are not looking at new features, I'd recommend UR5

So far so good. I'm trying to keep things simple and flat. I'm always asking customers why they want scpecific features and in most cases all the requirements are not really important and just because their previous system worked that way or something similar they are asking to mimic it. Once I had a request to have a complex call forwarding schema and it turned out that people didn't know that a simple hunt group can do the same. I'm telling all this just because I didn't have any major issues, which would force me to upgrade the software since release 5.0...

i spoke to mitel uk the other day, we have a 5 site clustered network with several thousand users on rel 8 with various issues. they recommended ur 5 NOT rel 9 catergorically stating ur 5 is currently the only reliable version from rel 8 up.

good luck!!!!

im on 9.0 right now in our office and so far I have had 0 issues. I like the phone lock feature also. I used to always run into a .cpp error on my 5330 when I would get to the network menu....anyways, i Havent run into that since the upgrade.
